RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, STATE OF
CALIFORNIA, DECLARING THE RESULT OF
SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION.
WHEREAS, a. Special Municipal Election was held and conducted
in the City of Huntington Beach, California, on Monday the
6th day of November, 1933, as required by lair, and,
WHEREAS, it appears that notice of said Election was du-
ly and legally given, that voting precincts were properly es-
tablished, that election officers were appointed and election
supplies furnished, and that in all respects said election was
held and conducted and the votes cast thereat received and can-
vassed, and the returns thereof made and declared in time form
and manner as required by the general laws of the State of Cal-
ifornia, governing elections in cities of the fifth and sixth
classes, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of said city met at the council
chamber of the said City Council on Monday the 13th day of Nov-
ember, 1933, to canvass the returns of said election and in-
stall the newly elected officer, as a result of which the said
City Council finds that the number of votes cast, the names of
the persons voted for and other matters required by law, to be
as hereinafter stated, now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
That said Special Municipal Election was held and conduc-
ted in the City of Huntington Beach, California, on Monday the
6th day of November, 1933, in time, form and manner as required
by law:
That there were four voting precincts established for the
purpose of holding said election, consisting of a consolidation
of the regular election precincts established for holding gen-
eral State and County elections as follows:
Consolidated Voting Precinct "A", comprising State and
County precincts number 1 and 2.
Consolidated Voting Precinct "B", comprising State and
County precincts numbers 3 and 4.
Consolidated Doting Precinct "C", comprising State and
County precincts numbers 5 and 6.
Consolidated Voting; Precinct "D" , comprising State and
County precincts numbers 7 and 8.
That the whole number of votes cast in said city was one
thousand three hundred thirteen (1, 313)
That the names of persons voted for, the office for which
they were voted, the number of votes given in each precinct
to each of said persons, together with the whole number
of votes which they received in the entire city are as fol-
lows:

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that at said Special Municipal
Election:
Thomas B. Talbert was elected to the office of City Coun-
cilman of the City of Huntington Beach, California, for the
term ending at the next General Municipal Election.
The City Clerk shall enter on the records of the City Coun-
cilman statement of the result of said election, showing (1)the
whole number of votes cast in said city, (2) the names of the
persons voted for, (3) the office for which each person was vot-
ed for, (4) the number of votes given at each precinct for each
of such persons and (5) the number of votes given in said city
to each of such persons.
The City Clerk shall immediately make and deliver to each
of such persons elected a certificate of election signed by him
and duly authenticated. He shall also impose the constitution-
al oath of office and have them subscribe thereto, whereupon
they shall be inducted into the respective offices to which they
have been elected.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the ,City of Hun-
tington Beach at a meeting held in accordance with law on the
13th day of November, 1933.
