The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach d+ resolve as follows; WH SAS# the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange* Mate of California, pursuant to statutes in such oases made and provided, duly and regularly caused a notice to be publ.ish.ed calling for bids for the construction and erection of certain fender piling at the end of the existing pier in the City of Huntington Beach, said work to be constructed according to ,specifications for same on file in the office of the City tngineer of the City of Huntington Beach adopted by the City Council on the 12th day of Beresh, 1935, and WHEPSAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, at a regular meeting thereof and at the time and place appointed therefor, opened the bide submitted by the respective bidders for the construction and completion of the above described work and, after careful consideration of all the bids submitted, the City Council awarded. the €ontract for doing the said work to John a. Bauer at the prides named in his bid, it being the lowest and beet bid received by the said City Council and authori2ed the City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach _to enter into a contract with said John 0. Bauer, and WHIMASs the City Council has rend and discussed said agreement axed/or contract, which agreement is incorporated herein by reference and made a part hereof as if herein set out in full., and has heretofore set the prevailing rage of per diem, holiday and overtime gages in this locality for each type of work and craft needed to execute the work oontemplated by said contract, and WHEREAS, on account of urgent necessity arising out of damage to the pier landing and destruction of the fender piling and on account of the danger from storm or other disaster, an extraordinary emergency is hereby declared to have arisent and in order to safeguard life and, property it is necessary to com— mence said proposed work at once. NOW THER211FORT-t B2 IT R20OLV44�Xt that the City Council of the City of Huntington each does hereby declare that an emergency as herein' fore set forth has arisen and it is, therefore, neoes— sary to enter into said contract at once. BE IT FURTIC9P R28OLVEDt, that said City Council does hereby ratify, confirm and adopt said contract, and that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute the same in the name of said City of Huntington Beach* Passed and adopted this 30th day of MaToho 1935.
