BE IT R�iSOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach, as follows:
That at the General Municipal Election to be held
` in said City of Huntington Beach, California, on the 14th
day of April, 1936, that there be submitted to the qualified
voters of said City the proposition of the adoption of an
Ordinance of the City of Huntington Beach, entitled, and in
words and figures, as follows:
"ORDINANCE NO.
"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON
BEACH AUTHORIZING THE CITY COUNCIL TO
TAKE THE NECESSARY STEPS TO ACQUIRE A
MUNICIPAL WATER SYSTEM.
"The People of the City of Huntington Beach do
ordain as follows;
"Section 1. That the City Council is hereby
f authorized and directed to take such steps as may
f be necessary to construct and/or' acquire' a Municipal
Water System.
"Section 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to
be published by one insertion in the Huntington Beach
Mews, a weekly newspaper printed, published and cirou-
lated in said City of Huntington Beach, and this Ordin-
ance shall take effect ten (10) 'days after canvass of
the election at which this Ordinance is submitted, if
the same is adopted by the requisite number of votes of
the electors voting at said election.
"Passed and adopted by the people of the City of
Huntington Beach at a general Municipal Election held--
on the 14th day of April, 1936." -<

the people- on the 14th day of April, 1936, for adoption under
the following proposition:
