Ii 772 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTI4GTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING A NUISANCE TO EXIST AND PRO- VIDING FOR THE ABATEMENT THEREOF. The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach resolve as follows: WHEREAS, there are growing -upon the following described streets and sidewalks and private property within the City of Huntington Beach, Orange County, California, weeds which bear seeds of a wingy or downy nature which weeds attain an hgve attained such large growth as to become a fire menace • when dry, and have become dry, and are- of such growth and density as to constitute a public nuisance and obstruct the public streets and sidewalks, A NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the said condi- tion and the said weeds all and singular do constitute and are hereby declared to constitute a public nuisance, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Supekintendent of Streets shall past conspicuously in front of the property on which such nuisance exists, at not more than one hundred (100) feet in distance apart, but not less than three in all notices headed: "NOTICE TO DESTROY WEEDS" such heading to be in words not less than one inch in height and substantially in the form prescribed in an Act of the Legislature of the State of California entitled: "An Act i • authorizing municipalities to declare obnoxious or dangerous weeds growing upon the streets or sidewalks or upon private property within municipalities to be a public nuisance, creat- ing a lien upon the property fronting upon such streets or sidewalks or upon which such nuisance exists for the most of abating the same, "aDDroved May 26, 1915, as amended, (Act No. 5197); said notices shall be posted at least five (5) day prior to the time of hearing objections by the City Council. M. at the City Hall of said City of Huntington Beach, and at said time and place the said City Council will hear and consider all such protests and ob- jections.
