RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HU TINGTON BEACH C MITIG A SPECIAL ELECTION TO SUBMIT TO A VOTE OF THE ELECTORS AN OIIDI14AI40E DECLARING THAT THE OFFICES OF CITY JUDGE AND CITY ATTOMMY SHALL HEREAFTER BE CTIM The City Counoil of the City of Huntington Beach de resolve as follows$ Section 1, 'S at; a special election shall be held on the .. day of Ammat„ 1937 foxy the purpose of submitting to the electors of said City of Huntington Beach the proposition of the adoption of an ordinance providing that the offices of city judge and city attorney shall be elective, which ordiruknoo is hereinafter set out In full and designated as *An Ordinanoo of the City of H=tIngt€n Beach Declaring That The Office of City Fudge and City Attorney Shall be Elective *ORDINANCE, . *AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH DECLARING THAT THE OFFICES OF CITY JUDGE AND CITY AITTOR= BOLL BE EIZECTIVE. *The People of the City of Huntington Beach do ordain as follows "SqgU.a4 That the 'office of City Judge and the offIo& of City Attorney abal1 hereafter be elective, and said officers she.11 be elooted from the City at large for the term provided in section 17 of Article VII of the Charter of the City of Huntington Beach,, California,. The City Council shall set the oompen:sation of said officers at not less than the amount paid slid officers during the preceding, year. *Section 2: If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase f this ordinance is for any reason held to be unccnst tutional,, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance.
