A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA, RE-
JECTING BIDS AND DECLARING AND DETEMAINING
THAT IN ITS OPINION THE MATERIALS MAY BE
FURNISHED AN'D PURCHASED AT A LOWER PRICE
IN THE OPEN TVLARKET.
The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach ,
California, do resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, the City Clerk, pursuant to instruction
of the City Council, did advertise for bids for furnishing
all plumbing, electrical and building material for the
construction of two rest room buildings, one caretaker' s
residence and the remodeling of the present caretaker' s
residence, all to be located on the City' s Trailer Camp
property, and
WHEREAS, a number of bids were submitted for
the furnishing of said materials, and
WHEREAS, the City Council are of the opinion
that the material may be purchased at a lower price in the
open market,
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach, California, do resolve, declare and deter-
mine as follows:
Section 1: That all bids received for said materi-
als be , and they are hereby rejected,

Section 2: That it is the opinion of the City
Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California. , that
the materials and supplies required for the building and
improving of said property may be furnished and purchased
in the open market at a lower price than the price
set forth in said bids.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the
City of Huntington Beach, California, at a
-s_ meeting thereof held on the b.tk day of
March, 1939.

vote of a four-fifths (4/5) majority of the members of said
