ESTABLISHING THE HENERAL PREVAILING RATE OF
PER DIEM WAGES FOR EACH CRAFT OR TYPE OF WORK
MAN OR MECHANIC NEEDED IN THE CONSTRUCTION AND
IMPROVEMENT OF FRANKFORT STREET EXTENSION IN
THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach, California, has conducted a hearing for the purpose
of establishing the general prevailing rate of per diem wages
in this locality for workmen needed in the construction and
improvement of Frankfort Street Extension in the City of
Huntington Beach, and has considered evidence presented, ,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach, California, does hereby find,
establish and determine that the general prevailing rate of
per diem wages in this locality for workmen needed in the con-
struction and improvement of Frankfort Street Extension within
the City of Huntington Beach and the general prevailing rate
of legal holiday and overtime work, is as follows:

1. The rates per hour indicated above, are based upon the
local prevailing rates per day being 8 times the above scheduled
rate per hour. Hourly rates of pay, based upon 8` hours per day
for a Pull day or a fractional part of a day. The per diem wages
for a fractional part of a day shall be the".epplicable rate per
hour multiplied by the number of hours worked on said day other
than for overtime and/or Sundays or Legal Holidays.
2. The wage rate per hour for overtime work for each of the
above classifications shall be the hourly rates quoted above,
multiplied by l* times the number of hours worked by employees
in excess of 8 hours on any one calendar day other than Sundays
and/or Legal Holidays.

employees on Sunday and/or Legal Holidays. Sundays and/or
Legal Holidays as herein referred to shall be deemed to be all
Sundays, January First, February Twenty-second, May Thirtieth,
July Fourth, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and December Twenty
Fifth.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach, California, at a regular meeting thereof
held on the 3rd day of April, 1939.
