HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 836 RESOLUTION NO. 836 A F H CI RESOLUTION O T E TY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ESTABLISHING THE HENERAL PREVAILING RATE OF PER DIEM WAGES FOR EACH CRAFT OR TYPE OF WORK MAN OR MECHANIC NEEDED IN THE CONSTRUCTION AND IMPROVEMENT OF FRANKFORT STREET EXTENSION IN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California, has conducted a hearing for the purpose of establishing the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in this locality for workmen needed in the construction and improvement of Frankfort Street Extension in the City of Huntington Beach, and has considered evidence presented, , NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California, does hereby find, establish and determine that the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in this locality for workmen needed in the con- struction and improvement of Frankfort Street Extension within the City of Huntington Beach and the general prevailing rate of legal holiday and overtime work, is as follows: Hourly Per Diem Rates Trade or Occupation Per Diem Wage for Legal Holidays Wage : Rate and over-time: Carpenter $ 8.80 $ 1.10 $13.20 Cement Finisher 10.00 1 .25 1500 Compressor Operator 9.00 1.125 13:50 Concrete Mixer Operator 9.00 1.125 13.30 Labor (Cement) 6.00 .75 9.00 Shovel & Crane Operator 10.00 1.25 15.00 Tractor Driver 8.00 1.00 12.00 Roller Man 9.00 1.125 13.50 Teamster 6.00 .75 9.00 Truck Driver(5 tons or over) 7.00 .875 10.50 Truck Driver(Under 5 Tons) 6.00 75 . 9 00 All skilled labor not mentioned above 8.00 100 12.00 All unskilled labor not mentioned above 5.00 .625 7.50- _l.. Reso. 836 1. The rates per hour indicated above, are based upon the local prevailing rates per day being 8 times the above scheduled rate per hour. Hourly rates of pay, based upon 8` hours per day for a Pull day or a fractional part of a day. The per diem wages for a fractional part of a day shall be the".epplicable rate per hour multiplied by the number of hours worked on said day other than for overtime and/or Sundays or Legal Holidays. 2. The wage rate per hour for overtime work for each of the above classifications shall be the hourly rates quoted above, multiplied by l* times the number of hours worked by employees in excess of 8 hours on any one calendar day other than Sundays and/or Legal Holidays. 3. The wage rate per hour for work on Sundays and/or Legal shall be s t Holidays 5p licable rate per hour, as scheduled above, multiplied by 1* times the number of hours worked by employees on Sunday and/or Legal Holidays. Sundays and/or Legal Holidays as herein referred to shall be deemed to be all Sundays, January First, February Twenty-second, May Thirtieth, July Fourth, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and December Twenty Fifth. Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 3rd day of April, 1939.
