A RESOLUTION OF UM CITY COUNCIL OF 7H E
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA,
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN PFOPERTY
WITHIN SAID CITY AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK
TO ACCEPT AND FILE FOR RECORD DEED THEREFOR*
The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach,
Calif ornia, do resolve as follows:
Section 1: That the City of Huntington Beach
acquire an easement for highway purposes, under and by virtue
of the provisions of Section 587 of the Probate Code of the
State of California, over the following described property:
A strip of land over the undivided one-half
interest of the Estate of Sophie Howell, deceased,
in and to Lot 23, Block 504, lain Street Section, City
of Huntington Beach, as recorded in Miscellaneous Maps,
Book 3, page 43, records of Orange County, California,
which strip of land is described as follows:
Beginning at the southeast corner of said Lot
23; hence West along the South line of said Lot 23 a
distance of 17.05 feet; thence North 720 9' low East a
distance of 17.91 feet to a point on the East line of
said Lot 23; thence South on said East line a distance
of 5.49 feet to the point of beginning
for the sum of Twenty-five 425.00) Dollars.
Section 2: Than C. R. Furr, City Clerk of the
City of Huntington Beach, is hereby authorized to consent to
and accept said Deed covering said property for and on behalf
of the City of Huntington Beach and to cause the saw to be
recorded in the Office of the County Recorder of the County of
Orange, State of California.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of ,the City
of Huntington Beach, California, at a regular meeting
thereof held on the 5th day of June, 1939.

and ex-of fi ci o Clerk of the City Council of said City , do
hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City
Council of the City of Huntington Beach is five; that the
foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the affirma-
tive vote of a majority of the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 5th day
of June, 1939, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen: Morehouse,Henri ckson,McCallen
NOES Councilmen: None
ABSENT: Councilmen: Chamness Talbert
