The rates per hour, indicated above, are. based upon the local prevailing rates per day being eight (8) times the above scheduled rate per hour. Hourly rates of pay, based upon eight (8) hours per day, for a full day or a fractional part of a day. The per diem wages for a fractional part of a day shall be the applicable rate per hour multiplied by the number of hours worked on said day other then for overtime and/or Sundays or Legal Holidays. 2. The wage rate per hour for overtime work for each of the above classifications shall be the hourly rates quoted above, multiplied by one and one-half (1-�) times the number of hours worked by employees in excess of eight (6) hours on any one calendar day other than Sundays and/or Legal Holidays. 3. The wage rate per hour for work on Sundays and/ or Legal Holidays shall be the applicable rate per hour, as scheduled above, multielied by two (2) times the number of hours worked by employees on Sunday and/or Legal Holidays. Sundays and/or Legal Holidays as herein referred to shall be deemed to be all Sundays, January First, February Twenty-second, May Thirtieth, July Fourth, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and December Twenty-fifth. 4. The wage rate per hour for overtime on Sunday and/or Legal Holidays for each of the above classifications shall be the hourly rate established for Sunday and/or Legal Holidays work, times one and one-half (11) the number of hours worked, in excess of eight (8) hours on Sunday and/or Legal Holidays, by the employees. -3- Reso. 863 Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California, at a regular a /->-7Od meeting thereof held on the a day of , 1940.
