A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DETERMINING
AND DECLARING THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST AND
CONVENIENCE REQUIRE THE CLOSING UP OF A
PORTION OF A CERTAIN STREET WITHIN SAID CITY,
The City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach, California, do hereby resolve,
determine and declare as follows;
Section 1; That public interest and
convenience require , and it is the intention of the
City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, Calif-
ornia to close up a portion of a certain street in
said City, described as follows;
All that certain land situated in the
City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange,
State of California, described as follows, to-wit ;
All that portion of Parcel " C" , as
described in the Decree rendered January 29th,
1926 in the Superior Court of the State of
California, in end for the County of Orange,
in the Action entitled City of Huntington Beach,
a Municipal Corporation, Plaintiff, vs Pacific
Palisades Association, a Corporation, Defendant ,
Case No. 18415,
Excepting from said Parcel " C" those
portions included within the North-westerly 37i
feet of Blocks Four Hundred Eleven (411) and
Reso. 871
Five Hundred Eleven (511) , the South-easterly
371 feet of Blocks Four Hundred Twelve (412)
and Five Hundred Twelve (512) , the North-easterly
30 feet of Blocks Four Hundred Eleven (411) and
Four Hundred Twelve (412) and the South-westerly
30 feet of Blocks Five Hundred Eleven (511) and
Five Hundred Twelve (512) , all in "Huntington
Beach, Seventeenth St. Section" , as shown on a
Map recorded in Book 4, page 10 of Miscellaneous
Maps, records of Orange County, California.
Section 2; That the proposed work is
for the closing up of a portion of a certain street;
that no damage or injury to any property will occur
by reason of said work; that no costs or expenses will
be incurred or will be necessary on a ceount of said
work and, theref ores no assessment district will be
created.
Section 3: That all the herein pro-
posed work shall be done in pursuance of and in
accordance with an Act of the Legislature of the State
of California entitled; "An Act to provide for laying
out , opening, extending, widening, straightening, or
closing up in whole or in part any street , square, lane,
alley, court or place within municipalities, and to
condemn and acquire any and all land and property
necessary or convenient for that purpose," approved
March 6, 1889 , and the several Acts amendatory thereof
or supplemental thereto.

Section 4: That the Street Superinten—
dent of the City of Huntington Beach, California, shall
cause notices hereof to be posted and published as
required by said Act of the Legislature of the State
of California.
Section 5: That the HUNTINGTON BEACH NEWS,
a weekly newspaper of general circulation, printed,
published and circulated in the City of Huntington Beach,
California, is hereby designated as the newspaper in
which said publication shall be made.
Section 6; The City Clerk shall certify
to the passage of this Resolution.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach, California, at a
regularly adjourned meeting held on the 29th day of
July, 1940.

qualified and acting City Clerk of the City of
Huntington Beach, California, do hereby certify that
the whole number of members of the City Council of
the City of Huntington Beach is five; that the fore-
going Resolution was passed and adopted by the affirm-
ative vote of a majority of the members of said City
Coun cif at a regularly adjourned meeting thereof held
on the 29th day of July, 1940, by the following vote:
