A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA,
FIXING THE TAX RATE FOR SAID CITY OF
HUNTINGTON BEACH FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
1941-1942.
WHEREAS, the assessed,valuation of the
taxable property of the City of Huntington Beach, Calif-
ornia, as assessed by the City Assessor and fixed by the
Board of Equalization of said City for the fiscal year
1941-1942, is 10,055,470.00, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of said City of
Huntington Beach finds that the amount of money nec-
essary to be raised by taxation on property of said City
of Huntington Beach, as a revenue for various departments
of said City, for the current fiscal year and to pay bond-
ed and other indebtedness of the City of Huntington Beach,
is as follows, to- wit;
1. General Fund $8g,990.00
2. Music and Promotion 15,084,00
3. Library 9,553.00
4. Wharf Bonds , Interest & Redemption 2,762,00
5, Sewer Bonds, Interest & Redemption 1,509,00
6, City Hall Bonds,
Interest & Redemption 3,519.00

8. Wharf Reconstruction Bonds,

9, Wharf Extension Bonds,

WHEREAS, a tax rate of one hundred and sixty
cents ( 1.60) upon each one hundred dollars ( 100.00)
assessed value of the property in said City as assessed by
the Assessor and equalized by the City Council, sitting as
a Board of Equalization, is sufficient to raise the amount
of money so to be necessary.
NOW THEREFORE$ BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach, California, that the :rate
of taxation for the said City of Huntington Beach for the
current fiscal year 1941-1942 be fixed at one hundred and
sixty cents ( 1.60) upon each one hundred dollars ( 100.00)
of said assessment valuation of property in said City, the
said rate to be aggregated as follows:
1. General Fund 895¢
2. Music & Promotion 15¢
3, Library 09
4. Wharf Bonds, Interest & Redemption 02-3/4¢
5. Sewer Bonds, Interest & Redemption O1 ¢

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Huntington Beach, California, at a regular meeting thereof
held on the 2nd day of September, 1941.

I, C. R. FURR, the duly elected, qualified
and acting City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach,
California, and ex-officio Clerk of the City Council
of said City, do hereby certify that the whole number
of members of the City Council of the City of Hunting-
ton Beach is five; that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of a majority
of the members of said City Council at a regular meeting
of the City Council held on the 2nd day of September,
1941 by the following vote;
