RESOLUTION NO, gqq' A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIF- ORNIA, CANVASSING THE RETURNS OF THE, GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN SAID CITY ON TUESDAY, APRIL 14, 1942 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California, did, by resolution duly and regularly adopted at a regular meeting of said council call for and provide for the holding of the general mun- icipal election within said City of Huntington Beach on the 14th day of April 1942, and WHEREAS, due notice of the holding of said general election has heretofore been given at the time and in the manner provided by law, NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California, do hereby resolve, determine and declare as follows: Section 1. (a) That the whole number of votes cast in the City of Huntington Beach at said general elec- tion, including all absentee votes, is /0<0 U (b) That the names of the persons voted for, the offices for which they were voted; the number of votes given in each precinct to each of said persons, the absentee votes given to each of, said persons, together with the whole 1 Reso. 899 number of votes which said persons received in the entire city, are as follows: Names of persons Office Precincts Total Absentee Total Voted for � votes vot A B C D ARNDT L. (a) That the propositions voted upon at said general election were designated as follows: Proposition No. 1s Shall the proposed charter amendment Number 1 providing for the amendment of Section 3 of Article V be adopted? Proposition No. 2: Shall the proposed charter amendment Number 2 providing for the amendment of Section 11 of Article VII be adopted? Proposition No. 3: Shall the proposed charter amendment Number 3 creating and adding to Article VII of said charter a new Section to be known as Section 18, pro- viding for the filling of vacancies in elective office be adopted? Proposition No. 4: Shall the proposed chaster amendment Number 4 providing for the amendment of Section 12 2 and 3 of Article X be adopted? Proposition No. 5: Shall the proposed charter amendment Number 5 providing for the amendment of Section 3 of Article XI be adopted? The City Clerk is hereby directed + to enter on the records of the City Council a statement of the result of said election as required by law.' Section 5. . The City Clerk shall immediately make and deliver to each of such persons elected a certifi- cate of election signed by him and duly authenticated.`' He shall also impose the constitutional oath of office and have each of said persons subscribe thereto, whereupon they shall be inducted into the respective offices to which they have been elected." Section 6.
