A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HU.1ITINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING A NUISANCE TO EKIST AND PROVIDING FOR THE ABATEZENT THEREOF, The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California, do resolve as follows: WHEREAS, there are, growing upon the following described streets and sidewalks and private property within the City of Huntington Beach, California, weeds which bear seeds of a wingy or downy nature, and which attain and have attained such large growth as to become a fire menace when dry, and which have become dry and are of such growth and density as to constitute a public nuisance and obstruct the public streets and sidewalks, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the said con— dition and the ,said weeds, all and singular, do constitute and are hereby declared to constitute a public nuisance, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Superintendent of Streets shall post conspicuously in front of the property on which such nuisance exists, at not more than one hundred (100) feet in distance apart, but not less than three in all, notices headed; "NOTICE TO DESTROY WEEDS" 1 Reso. 900 such heading to be in words not less than one inch in height and substantially in the foxn prescribed in an Act of the Legislature of the State of California entitled: "AN ACT AUTHORIZING MUNICIPALITIES TO DECLARE OBNOXIOUS OR DANGER OUR ;NEEDS GROTI"'G UPON THE STREETS OR SIDDYALKS OR UPON PRIVATE PROPEI'RTY WITHIN UUNTICIPALITIES TO BE A PUBLIC NUIS— ANCE, CREATING A LIEN UPON THE PROPERTY FRONTING UPON WHICH SUCH NUISANCE EXISTS FOR THE COST OF ABATITIG THE `411E, � approved May 26, 1915, as amended, (Act No. 5197) ; said notices shell be ,o steel at least five (5) days prior to the time of hearing objections by the City Council.
