A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA.
The City Council of ,the City of Huntington
Beach, California, do resolve as follows:
Section 1: That the General Municipal Election,
to be held in the City of Huntington Beach, California,
on Tuesday April 11, 1944, shall be held and conducted
pursuant to the following provisions therefor, which
provisions are hereby determined and adopted by the City
Council of said City of Huntington Beach for holding
said election.
Section 2: That at said election there shall
be four (4) voting precincts, consisting of a consolida-
tion of the regular election precincts last established
for holding general state or county elections , as follows:
Consolidated voting Precinct "A" , compris
ing state and county election precincts numbers Hunting-
ton Beach One and Two, and the polling place thereof shall
be in the Memorial Hall located on Sixth Street near the
intersection of Magnolia, Avenue and Sixth Street in said
City,
Consolidated voting Precinct "B" , compris-
ing state and county election precincts numbers Hunting-
ton Beach Three and Four, and the polling place thereof
shall be at Evangeline Hotel 421 Eighth Street

in said City.

Consolidated voting Precinct "C" compris-
ing state and county election precincts numbers Hunting-
ton Beach Five and Six, and the polling place thereof shall
be at Huntington Beach Elementary School a Athle tie

in said City.
Consolidated voting Precinct "D" compris—
ing state and county election precincts numbers Hunting-
ton Beach Seven and Eight , and the polling place thereof
shall be

Section 3: That the election board for consolida-
ted_ voting Precinct "A" shall be as follows:

Precinct "B" shall be as follows:

That the election board for consolidated voting

That the election board for consolidated
voting Precinct "D" shall be as follows:

Section 4: That said election officers shall
each receive as compensation for his services in serv—
ing upon said election board the sum of 7.00
Section 5; That the polls will be open for
said election between the hours of 7:00 o'clock A. M.
and 7:00 o'clock P. M.
Section 6: That each of said officers above
mentioned is an elector and a resident of the consoli-
dated voting precinct for which he or she is appointed.
Section 7: That said election shall in all
respects be conducted as provided by law.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the
City of Huntington Beach, California, at a regularly

adjourned meeting thereof held on the Zlet day of
February, 1944.

I, C. R. FURR, the duly elected, qualified and
acting .City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, Calif-
ornia, do hereby certify that the whole number of members
of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach is five,
that the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by
the affirmative vote of a majority of the members of said
City Council at a regularly adjourned meeting of the City
Council held on the 21st day of February, 1944, by the
following vote:
AYES: Councilmen: HenricksonaGrable,Hawes,Morehouse,
Talbert

ABSENT: Councilmen, None
