RESOLUTION NO. I7
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH,
CALIFORNIA, CANVASSING THE RETURNS
OF EMPLOYEES ELECTION UNDER THE
PROVISIONS OF I'HE STATE RETIREPAENT
ACT.
I HEREAS, The City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach, California, did on the 6th day
of August, 1945, regularly and duly pass and adopt
Resolution No. 970, entitled "A Resolution of the
City Council of the City of Huntington Beach,
California, of Intention to Ax.)rove Contract
Providing for Participation in State Employeest
Retirement System", and
WHEREAS, an election is to he conducted
among the firemen, the policemen and. other City
employees in accordance with the Retirement Act,
and the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach ordered said election held on Monday, the
13th day of August, 1945.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City
of Huntington Beach, California, do resolve, declare
and determine as follows;

Section 13 That the total person entitled
to vote in the respective divisions of employees
are as follows:
Firemen 7
Policemen 9
Other employees 3,6
Section 2: That the whole number of votes
case by said employees at said election are res-
pectively as follows:
Firemen 7
Policemen 9
Other employees 36
Section 3: That the proposition voted upon
at said election was as follows: "Shall the gbove
designated employees of the subdivision named above,
be included in the State Employees ' Retirement System?"
,And a separate election way , held by each of said
divisions of employees, ana. tYr.,t the number of votes
given in each of the various divisions respectively,
0 for and against said proposition is as follows.

Section 4: It is hereby found, determined
and declared that the said proposition was adopted
or defeated respectively, as follows:

Section 5: The City Clerk is hereby directed
to enter on the records of the City Council a statement
of the results of said election as required by law.
Section 6: The City Clerk shall attest and
certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution
by a majority of the votes of the members of the City
Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California•
