HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 1008 8 1 RESOLUTION N0. ®O A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF HU NTINGTON BEACH ESTABLISHING THE GENERAL PREVAILING RATE OF PER DIEM WAGES FOR EACH CRAFT OR TYPE OF WORK- MAN OR MECHANIC NEEDED FOR THE CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLATION OF A COMBINED REINFORCED CON- CRETE AND VITRIFIED CLAY PIPE STORM DRAIN WITH ITS APPURTENANCES, ON OCEAN AVENUE, SIXTEENTH, SEVENTEENTH, NINETEENTH & TWENTIETH STREETS ALL IN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach has conducted a hearing for the purpose of establishing the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in this local- ity for workmen needed for the construction and installation of a combined reinforced concrete and vitrified clay pipe storm drain with its appurtenances on Ocean Avenue, Sixteenth Seventeenth, Nineteenth & Twentieth Streets all in the City of Huntington Beach, and has considered evidence presented. Sundays and holidays ( except watchmen, guards and flagmen) - one and one-half (1-'N) times the above rates. The rates per hour, indicated above, are based upon the local prevailing rates per day being eight times the above scheduled rate per hour. Hourly rates of pay, based upon eight hours per day for a full day or a fractional part of a day. The per diem wages for a fractional part of a day shall be the applicable rate per hour multiplied by the I number of hours worked on said day other than for overtime -3- Reso. No. 1008 and/or Sundays or Legal Holidays. Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California at a regular meeting thereof held on the /` day of 1946.
