A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH
CAL IFO RN IA, SELLING CERTAIN REAL
PROPERTY AND AUTHORIZING DEED
THEREFOR.
WHEREAS , at a regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach on the loth day of May,
1949, certain lots were offered for sale, and
WHEREAS , H. H. McVICAR, a married man, as to an
undivided one-third interest; C. M. ROOD, a married man,
as his separate property, as to an undivided one-sixth
interest; M. M. M'cCALLEN, a married man, as to an undivided
one-sixth interest- HAZEL L. ROOD, a married woman, as her
separate property, as to an undivided one-sixth interest;
and JESSE H. ECHOLS , a married woman, as to an undivided
one-sixth interest, bid the sum of Twenty-eight Hundred
( 2800.00) Dollars for the following described property
situate in the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange,
State of California, more particularly described as
follows:

Lots One (1) , Two (2) , Three (3) and Four (4)
in Block Eight Hundred Twelve (812) of Wesley
Park Tract, as shown on a Map thereof rec-
orded in Book 4, page 17 of (Miscellaneous
Maps, records of Orange County, California,
and

WHI EA I the City Council deems that it is for the
best interest of said City that said bid be accepted and
said property be sold and returned to the assessment
roll, and
WHEREAS , said price offered is just, fair and
adequate and is not disproportionate to the market value
of the above described real property.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach, California, that the
above described, property be and the same is hereby
sold to H. H. McVIC.AR, a married man, as to an undivided
one-third interest; C. M. ROOD, a married man, as his
separate property, as to an undivided one-sixth interest;
M-. M. McC.ALLEN, a married man, as to an undivided one-
sixth interest; HAZEL L. ROOD, a married woman, as her
separate property, as to an undivided one-sixth interest;
and JESSE H. ECHOLS , a married woman, as to an undivided
one-sixth interest, free and clear of all encumbrances,
except subject to covenants , conditions , reservations,
restrictions and rights of way of record, if any, for
the total sum. of Twenty-eight Hundred ($2800.40) Dollars,
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be and they are hereby authorized to execute and deliver

a Deed to said parties upon receipt of the consideration
therefor.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Huntington Beach, California' at a regular meeting
thereof held on the nth day of - Junea 1949.

I, JOHN L. HENRICKSEN, the duly elected, qualified
and acting City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach,s
and ex-officio Clerk of the City Council of said City,
do hereby certify that the whole number of members of the
City Council of the City of Huntington Beach is five; that
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the
affirmative vote of more than a majority of all the
members of said City Council at a regular meeting thereof
held on the 6th day of June , 1949, by the follow-
ing vote:
