',1HIEP.EAS, the territory hereinafter described is uninhabited territory and is contiguous to the City of Huntington Beach, California , and WHEREAS , the said City of Huntington Beach is desirous of annexing. said Property and incorporating a and including said property within said City of Hunting- ton Beach, NOW THT—'R.FORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California, do resolve, determine and declare as follows': Section Is That the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California , does hereby propose to annex f to the City of Huntington Beach, California , and incorpor- ate and include therein the following described property: Beginning t at ie point of intersection of the westerly city limits of the City of Huntington Beach with the line of ordinary high tide of the Pacific Reno` lOg Ocean (said point being the intersection of the north and south center line of Section 4, Township 6 South, Range 11 West , S B B & M. , with the said line of ordinary high tide) ; thence South 480 nest along the Westerly boundary of the said City of -Huntington Beach three miles ; thence Westerly and parallel with the said line of ordinary high tide and distant three miles therefrom to a point on the Southwesterly extension of the Northwesterly line of Rancho Ira Bolsa Chica ; thence Northeast- erly along the said extension of the Northwesterly line of said. Rancho La Bolsa Chica to the line of ordinary high tide of the Pacific Ocean; thence South-easterly along the said line of ordinary high tide to point of beginning. Section 2 That said property is hereby designated for the purpose of identification as The Northwest Extension of the City of Huntington Beach. Section 3. That the foregoing described property is uninhabited territory and is contiguous to the City of Huntington Beach, California. Section 4; That the proceedings for the annexation of said territory have peen initiated, of its own motion, by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, 2 Reso. 1099 California , and that said City Council is the legislative body of said city® Section That the reasons for the proposed annex— ation are as follows 'The area sought to be annexed lies northwesterly of the city, and the city desires to annex the same in order to protect the sub.terged area within the cite Section 6: That notice is hereby given that on. the 6th day of February, 1950 at the hour of 7*30 P M. , in the City Council Chambers of the City Hall, City of Huntington Beach, California ' is the time and place when and where any person owning real property within said territory proposed to be annexed and having any objections to said proposed annexation may appear before said City Council andshow cause why such territory should not be annexed® Section 7s The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be printed in the Huntington Beach News' a newspaper of general circulation' printed and published in the City of Huntington Beach for two successive weeks prior to the hearing set forth in ,Section 6 hereof. 3 Resoe 1099 PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Reach, California, at a regularly adjourned meeting thereof held on the bth day of Januarys 1950.
