A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA, CAN-
VASSING THE RETURNS OF THE GENERAL LUNICIPAL
ELECTION HELD IN SAID CITY ON TUESDAY,
APRIL 11, 1950.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the,City of Huntington Beach, California,
did, by resolution duly and regularly adopted at a regular meeting of said
Council call for and provide for the holding of the general municipal
election within said City of Huntington Beach on the llth day of April,
1950, and
WHEREAS, due notice of the holding of said general election has
heretofore been given at the time and in the manner provided by law,
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach,
California, do hereby resolve, determine and declare as follows:
Section l: (a) That the whole number cf votes cast in the City
of Huntington Beach at said general election, including all absentee votes,
is 2,097.
(b) That the names of the persons voted for, the
offices for which they were voted; the number of votes given in each
precinct to each of said persons, together with the whole number of votes
which said persons received in the entire City, are as follows;

Section 2: It is hereby found and declared that the following named
persons were elected to the respective offices indicated opposite their

names, to wit:

Section 3: The City Clerk is hereby directed to enter on the
records of the City Council a statement of the result of said election
as required by law.
Section 4: The City Clerk shall imaediately make and deliver to
each of such persons elected a certification of election signed by him
and duly authenticated. He shall also impose the constitutional oath of
office and have each of said persons subscribe thereto, whereupon they
shall be inducted into the respective offices to which they have been
elected,
Section 5: That the City Clerk shall attest and certify to the
passage and adoption of this Resolution by a majority of the votes of the
members of the :City Council of the City of Huntington Beach*
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach, California by a vote of more than a majority of all its 7rembers,

at a regular meeting of saidCity Council held on the 17th day of April,

I, JOHN L. HENRICKSEN, the duly elected, qualified and acting
City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beachp and ex—officio Clerk cf the
City Council of said City., do hereby certify that the whole number of
members of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach is five; that
the foregoing Resolution was passed and a dnpted by the affirmative vote
of more than a ma'ority of all the members of said City 'Zouncil at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 17th day cf April, 1950, by the
following vote:
