HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 1121 RESOLUTION NO. 1121 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIki, APPROVING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF NER CLASSES OF POSITIONS TO THE CLASSIFICATION PLAN AND: PROVIDIITG FOR THE RATE OF C0MPENSATION. WHEREAS, the heads of the Street Department, Life Gugrd Department and Police Department have recommended the creation of new classes of positions in the Classification Plan and the rate of compensation for each class; and WHEREAS, the City Council is empowered by Section (6) (b) of Ordinance 535 to create by resolution new classes within the Classifica- tion Plan, and to set the rate of compensation for such new classes; and FMREAS, the City Council has investigated the recommendations of the department heads and recognizes the need of the new classes; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach that pursuant to the recommendations of the department heads for new classifications of positions and the rate of compensation for each new class, there is hereby created the following new classes within the Classification Plan;, together with the rate of pay for each such new class: Class Title Salary Range Lifeguard .Apprentice 14 176 - 193 Truck Driver 17 202 242 Maintenance Electrician 19 221 -- 265 Police Sergeant 23 265 _ 318 Police Lieutenant 24 277 - 333 (1) Reso. 1121 PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 5th day of June, 1950. 1 Mayo .ATTEST.
