HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 1154 f • RESOLUTION NO. 1154 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH PROVIDING FOR THE SALE OF THE OLD PUBLIC LIBRARY BUILDING AND FOR THE PUBLICATION OF NOTICE OF SAID SALE Whereas, the City of Huntington Beach is the owner of certain real property heretofore used for public library pur- • poses; and Whereas, the City has recently completed the construe- tion of a new building for public library purposes; and Whereas, the building formerly used for said purposes is no longer necessary for municipal purposes, and the best interests of the City require that said building be sold: NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach do resolve as follows: That the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach do hereby find and determine that the building heretofore used by the City of Huntington Beach for public library purposes is no longer necessary and useful for carrying on the functions • of government of the City of Huntington Beach, and that the public interest and convenience require the sale of said build- ing.
