HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 1155 RESOLUTION NO. 1155 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUMIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA, FIXING THE TAX RATE FOR SAID CITY CF HUNTINGTON BEACH FCR THE FISCAL YEAR 1951-1952. WHENF,AS, the assessed valuation of the taxable property of the City of Huntington Beach, Californiaf as assessed by the County Assessor and fixed by the County Board of Equalization of the County of Orange, California, for the fiscal year 1951-1952 is $35,667,260,00 FMAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach finds that the amount of money necessary to be raised by taxation on property in said City of Huntington Beach as a revenue for various departments of said City for the current fiscal year and to pay bonded and other indebtedness of the City of Huntington Beach, is as follows: 1. General Fund $ 316,701.37 2. Music and Promotion 38,822,97 3. Library 27,962.54 4.. Special Recreation Fund 22,885.86 5. 'Wharf Bonds, Interest and Redemption 1,845•51 6, City Hall Bonds, Interest & Redemption 2,120,00 7• Capital Outlay Reserve Fund 10,62957 $ 420,967.82 WHEREAS, the City Council by Resolution Nos 1126 set the tax . rate for the fiscal year 1950-1951 at one hundred twenty two cents ($1.22) per one hundred dollars ( 100.00) of assessed value, which rate applies to the unsecured roll for the fiscal year 1951-1952, and (1) Resoo 1155 TIEREAS, assessed value of the unsecured roll for the fiscal year 1951.4952 as equalized by the Board of Equalization of the County of Orange amounts to a total of $ 235,370.,00, and HEREAS, the balance necessary to be raised by taxation from the secured roll for the fiscal year 1951«-1952 is 18,,096.31, and "WHEREAS, a tax rate of one hundred eighteen cents ( 1.18) upon each one hundred dollars ($100.00) of assessed value of the property in said City as assessed by the County Assessor and equalized by the Board of Supe visors sitting as a Board of Equalization of the County of Orange is sufficient to raise the said amount of money* NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California, that the rate of taxation for said City for the fiscal year 1951-1952 (secured roll for 1951-1952 and unsecured rolls for 1952-1953) be fixed at one hundred eighteen cents, ($1.18) upon: each one hundred dollars ($100.00) assessed value in said City* The saki rate shall be segregated as follows: l• General Fund 88.774 2.
