HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 1156 RESOLUTION NO. 1156 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH FIXING TIME, PLACE AND TERMS FOR SALE OF REAL PROPERTY AND PROVIDING FOR NOTICE THEREOF. WHEREAS , the City of Huntington Beach is the owner of the following described real property: Lots 20-22-24-26-28 in Block 107 of Huntington Beach, as shown on a map recorded in Book 3, page 36, Miscellaneous Maps , Records of Orange County, California ; and WHEREAS , said above described property is no longer useful for library purposes or for any other governmental purpose of the City of Huntington Beach; and 14HEREAS, the City Council of said city has found that for the best interests of the City of Huntington Beach said property should be sold: NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach find and determine that the above described real property is no longer necessary and useful in carrying on the functions of government of ,the City of Huntington Beach, and that the public interest and convenience require the sale of said real property. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Huntington Beach sell the. real property described as Lots 20-22-24-26-28 in Block 107 of Huntington Beach, as shown on a map recorded in Book 3 , page 36, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California; Subject to covenants, conditions and restrictions of record. -1- Resaw 1156 at public auction to the highest and best bidder for cash, lawful money of the United States, in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Huntington Beach on Monday, the 22nd day of October, 1951, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P .M. or as soon thereafter as said sale can be held. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the terms of said sale be as follows: Minimum acceptable bid shall be 4163999. $152000. Cash, lawful money of the United States, to be paid upon delivery of grant deed not later than thirty days following said sale. Sealed bids may be submitted to the City Clerk at the City Hall in the City of Huntington Beach, for opening at the time of said sale, at which time any person may submit oral bids. Said first oral 'bid shall not be less than 10' higher than the highest sealed bid submitted, and thereafter any person may raise said bid in multiples of not less than $50.00. No bid shall be accepted unless accompanied by cash, lawful money of the United States, in an amount S of not less than 10lo of the bid. The City of Huntington Beach reserves the right to refuse or reject any and all bids and to withdraw the property from said sale.
