A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH,
CALIFORNIA.
The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach,
California, does resolve as follows:
Section 1: That the General Municipal Election,
to be held in the City of Huntington Beach, California,
on Tuesday, April 8, 1952, shall be held and conducted
pursuant to the following provisions therefor, which
provisions are hereby determined and adopted by the City
Council of said City of Huntington Beach for holding said
'election.
Section 2: That at said election there shall be
five (5) voting precincts, consisting of s consolidation
of the regular election precincts last established for
holding general, state or county elections, as follows;
Consolidated voting precinct "A", comprising state
and county election precincts numbers Huntington Beach One
and Four, and the polling place thereof shall be at the
Bergey residence, located at 305-Eighth Street in said City.

Consolidated voting precinct "B", comprising state
and county election precincts numbers Huntington Beach
Three and Five, and the polling place thereof shall be at
the First Methodist Church Sunday School Bungalow, located
at 401-Eleventh Street in said City.
Consolidated voting precinct "C", comprising state
and county election precinctV number Huntington Beach Six,"' ."
and the polling place thereof shall be at the Huntington
Beach Elementary School, Athletic Buildings located at
Sixteenth Street and Palm Avenue in said City.
Consolidated voting precinct "D", comprising state
and county election precincts numbers Huntington Beach
Seven and Eight, and the polling place thereof shall be
at the City Yard, located on Memphis Street between
Alabama Avenue and the railroad track, in said City.
Consolidated voting precinct "E", comprising state
and county election precincts numbers Huntington Beach
Two and Nine, and the polling place thereof shall be at
the Memorial Hall, located on Sixth Street near the
intersection of Magnolia Avenue and Sixth Street, in said
City.
Section 3: That the election board for consolidated
voting precinct "A" shall be as follows:
Inspector: Bessie E. Averbeck, M 111-3rd Street
Judge: Adell Bergey, -- 305-8th Street
Clerk: Susie B. Thompson, - 111-2nd Street
Clerk: Grace A. Dowty, - 209-8th Street

That the election board for consolidated voting
precinct 'B'" shall be as follows:
Inspector: Gertrude Catching - 416-10th Street
Judge: Pearle Gifford - 621-10th Street
Clerk: Zula V. Creamer - 627-10th Street
Clerk: Pearl M. Jones - 619-8th Street
That the election board for consolidated voting
precinct "C" shall be as follows:
Inspector: Edna L. Kaae ?34 Main Street
Judge: Cora McGuire - 323 Crest Avenue
Clerk: Martha. Pickering «. 224 Crest .Avenue
Clerk: Rosa A. Rowley - 722 Main Street
That the election board for consolidated voting
precinct "D" shall be as follows:
Inspector: Verda Orrell - 2713 Hampshire .Avenue
Judge: Opal M. Presson - 914 Huntington Avenue
Clerk: Irene M. Weinheimer - 602 California Avenue
Clerk: Oma Hensley -- 1020 Huntington Avenue
That the election board for consolidated voting
precinct "E" shall be as follows:
Inspector : Edna R. Herron -• 406-7th Street
Judge, Lillie May Thompson «» 322-»7th Street
Clerk; Frances R. McCormick - 428-7th Street
Clerk: Vera M. Leyerley - 508 Delaware Avenue
Section 4: That said election officers shall each
receive as compensation for his services in serving upon
said election board the sum of fifteen ($15.00) dollars
for inspector and twelve ( 12.00) dollars each for judges
and clerks.

Section 5: That the polls will be open for said
election between the hours of 7:00 otclock A.M. and
7:00 o'clock F.M.
Section 6: That each of said officers above
mentioned is an elector and a resident of the consolidated
voting precinct for which he or she is appointed.
Section 7: That said election shall in all respects
be conducted as provided by law,

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the
City of Huntington Beach, California, at a regular
meeting .thereof held on the 18th day of February, 1952.

I,, J OHN L. HENRI CKSEN, the duly elected, qualified
and acting City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and
ex-officio Clerk of the City Council of said City, do hereby
certify that the whole number of members of the City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach is five; that the foregoing
• Resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote
of more than a majority of all the members of said City
Council at a regular meeting thereof held on the 18th
day of February, 1952, by the following vote:
