A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORHIA,
DESIGNATING A ONE-HOUR PARKING LIMIT
WITHIN THE PARKING METER ZONE AND
INSTRUCTING THE CHIEF OF POLICE TO ERECT
SIGNS DESIGNATING THE PROVISIONS OF THIS
RESOLUTION.
WBEitEAS9 the City Council is empowered by Section 33(a)
a
of Ordinance No. 322 entitled "An Ordinance of the City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach, Relating to and Regulating
Traffic Upon the Public Streets of the City of Huntington Beach
and Repealing all Ordinances Inconsistent Herewith", as ascended,
to designate by resolution portions of streets within the Cite
of Huntington Beach subject to a one-hour parking limit; and
WHEREAS, the City Council by Ordinance No. 496 entitled
"An Ordinance of the City of Huntington Beach, California,
Regulating its Traffic and Regulating the Use of Public Streets
in the City of Huntington Beach, California, Defining and
Establishing a Parking Meter Zone and Regulating and Con-
trolling and Providing for Inspection of the Time Parking of
Vehicles Therein by the Use of Parking Meters; Prescribing
Limits of Time for Parking in Parking Meter Zone; and Pro-
viding for Enforcement of This Ordinance and Punishment for
Its Violation," has set forth and declared a parking meter
zone for the City of Huntington Beach:
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Huntington Beach that said parking meter zone be and
the same is hereby designated as subject to a one-hour parking

• limit between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 6:00 P.M. , Sundays
excepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said one-hour parking limit
shall not apply at such times and during such hours that
parking in the parking meter zone shall be controlled and
regulated under the provisions of Ordinance No. 1+96 entitled
"An Ordinance of the City of Huntington Beach, California,
Regulating its Traffic and Regulating the Use of Public
Streets in the City of Huntington Beach, California, Defining
and Establishing a Parking Meter Zone and Regulating and
Controlling and Providing for Inspection of the Time Parking
of Vehicles Therein by the Use of Parking Meters; Prescribing
Limits of Time for Parking in Parking Meter Zone; and Pro-
viding for Enfordoment of This Ordinance and Punishment for
its Violation," as mended.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief of Police be
and he is hereby authorized and directed to place and maintain
signs designating the provisions of this resolution, and that
said signs be not more than 150 feet apart in each of the
blocks subject to this one-hour parking limit.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
adjourned

more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
adjourned
