A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH
TO VACATE THE ALLEY IN BLOCK 1015 OF
WESLEY HEIGHTS TRACT AND GIVING NOTICE
• OF HEARING ON SAID VACATION
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission has recommended a
variance of the zoning ordinance of the City of Huntington Beach
so a church may be built on Block 1015 , Wesley Heights Tract,
• and
WHEREAS, in order to build said church, it will be
necessary to use that portion of the block which is now an
alley, and
• WHEREAS, the alley in said block has not been used as
an alley and it is doubtful whether in the future it will or
can be used as an alley and the public good, need and necessity
requires that said alley be abandoned, and
• WHEREAS, the City Council does now desire to vacate said
alley,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Hunting-
ton Beach, California, does resolve, determine and declare as
follows:
• Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Hunting-
ton Beach, California, does hereby declare its intention to
vacate that certain alley within the City of Huntington Beach ,
described as follows:
A parcel of land in the City of Huntington Beach, Orange
• County, California, described as the parcel of land being the

alley in Block 1015, Wesley Heights Tract , as shown on a map
thereof.
For further particulars reference is hereby made to a
S map on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City.
Section : That notice is hereby given that the 2nd
day of May, 1955 , at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M. , in the
Council Chamber in the City Hall, Huntington Beach, California,
• is the time and place when and where a public hearing shall be
held upon said resolution of intention to vacate said above
described alley, at which hearing all persons interested in or
objecting to the proposed vacation may be heard.
Section 3 : The City Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to cause a copy of this resolution of intention to be
published in the Huntington Beach News, a newspaper of general
circulation printed and published in the City of Huntington
•
Beach, by one insertion prior to the hearing set forth in Para-
graph 4 hereof.
Section 4: The City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach does hereby, elect to proceed under the provisions of the
• Street Vacation Act of 1941 in the vacating of the said alley
as above described.
Section 5 : The Street Superintendent is hereby author-
ized and directed to post notices of alley vacation as required
by law.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach, California, at a regular meeting thereof
held on the lath day of ,April, 1955.

officio Clerk of the City Council of said City, do hereby certi-
fy that the whole number of members of the City Council of the
City of Huntington Beach is five; that the foregoing resolution
was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of more than a
majority of all the members of said City Council at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 4th day of April, 1955, by the fol-
lowing vote:
