A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH
ESTABLISHING THE GENERAL PREVAILING RATE OF
HOURLY WAGES FOR EACH CRAFT OR TYPE OF WORK-
MAN OR MECHANIC NEEDED IN THE RESURFACING OF
OF THIRTEENTH STREET FROM MAIN STREET TO LAKE
AVENUE, LOMA AVENUE FROM MAIN STREET TO LAKE
AVENUE, PARK STREET FROM MLFTH STREET TO
SPR,INGFIEID STREET, PINE STREET FROM THIRTEENTH
STREET TO SPRINGFIELD STREET, ELiiiIRA AVENUE
FROM ALABAMA AVENUE TO DEIAWARE AVENUE, KNO -
VILLE STREET FROM AIABAMA AVENUE TO DELAWARE
AVENUE AND LINCOLN STREET FROM ALABAMA AVENUE
TO DELAWARE AVENUE, IN THE CITY OF HUN TINGTON
BEACH, CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach has
conducted a hearing for the purpose of establishing the general prey
nailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for workmen needed in the
resurfacing of Thirteenth Street from Main Street to Lake Avenue, Looma.
Avenue from Main Street to Lake Avenue, Park Street from Twelfth Street
to Springfield Street, Pine Street from Thirteenth Street to Springfield
Street, Elmira Avenue from Alabama ,Avenue to Delaware Avenue, Knoxville
Street from Alabama Avenue to Delaware Avenue and Lincoln Street from
Alabama. Avenue to Delaware Avenue, in the City of Huntington Beach, and
has considered evidence presented.
I� NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of Huntington Beach does hereby find, establish and determine that
the general prevailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for work-
men needed in the resurfacing portions of Thirteenth Street, Loma Avenuue,
Park Street, Pine Street, Elmira Avenue, Knoxville Street and Lincoln
Street, within the City of Huntington Beach and the general prevailing
rate of legal holiday and overtime work, is as followst

OVERTIME RATES
LABORERS - Time and one-half except Sundays and Holidays which are double
time
TEAMSTERS - Time and one-half except Sundays and Holidays which are double
time, except in Kern, Inyo and Mono Counties where the overtime
rate is time and one-half for all overtime.
OPERATING ENGINEERS - Time and one-half for all overtime except Sundays
and Holidays which are double time. inhere Operating Engineers,

during any one ca3lcendar day, are working overtime on the same
unit of a project on which another craft is working overtime at
the double time rate, then the Operating Engineers on such unit
of work shall also be paid at the double time rate.
A unit of the project means any single building, facility, utility}
or any other single structure which is independent of any other
unit of the project.
The operation of a crushing plant for stock pile and the servicing,
repairing, and maintenance of equipment on a project shall be at
time and one-half, except in the following two instances t:
1. Sundays and holidays.
2. Where the equipment operator is repairing his equipment on a
unit of the project where double time is being paid in that
calendar day.
When the Operating Engineer is working on a project as an integral
part of a crew where another craft is receiving overtime pay by
virtue of a holiday not specified in the Waster Labor Agreement,
them the Operating Engineer shall receive the same overtime rate
as the other craft.
The rates per hour, indicated above are based upon the local pre-
vailing rates per day being eight times the above scheduled rate per hour.
Hourly rates of pay, based upon eight hours per day for a full day or a
fractional part of a day. The per diem wages for a fractional part of a
day shall be the applicable rate per hour multiplied by the number of hours
worked on said day ether than for overtime and/or Sundays or Legal Holidays.

the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach is five; that the foregoing
Resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of more than a
majority of all the members of said City Council at a regular meeting thereof
held on the 7th day of November 1955, by the following vote:
