RESOLUTION No. 1268
A.-RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH
TO VACATE THAT PORTION OF ELEVENTH STREET
LYING OCE ARD OF OCEAN AVENUE, AND
GIVING NOTICE OF A HEARING ON SUCH
VACATION
WHEREAS, that portion of Eleventh Street lying ocean-
ward of Ocean Avenue is not now being used for public
street purposes; and.
NIFIEREAS, the City Council desires to vacate the said
portion of Eleventh Street as hereinafter described,
NOW TID3REFORE, the City Council of the City of Hunt-
ington Beach, California, does resolve, determine and de-
clare as follows:
Section is That the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach does declare its intention to vacate a
portion of Eleventh Street within the City of Huntington
Beach, Orange County, California, described as.-
That piece or parcel of land lying between the
mean high Water mark of the Pacific Ocean and
the ocean side line of Ocean .Avenue, embraced
within the extended line of Eleventh Street in
the City of Huntington Beach, County of grange,
State of California, as set forth and described
in a Deed to the City of Huntington Beach record-
ed in Book 176 of Deeds, at Wage 149, Records
of Orange County, California.

Fur further particulars reference is hereby made to
a map on file in the office of the City Clerk of said city.
Section 2: That notice is hereby given that the 2nd
day of L-0-rill 1956, at the hour of 8:00
o' clock P.M. , in the Council Chamber in the City Hall, Hunt-
ington Beach, California, is the time and place when and
where a public hearing shall be held upon said resolution of
intention to vacate said above described portion of Eleventh
Street, at which hearing all persons interested in or object-
ing to the proposed vacation may be heard.
Section 3: The City Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to cause a copy of this resolution of intention to
be published in the Huntington Beach News, a newspaper of
general circulation printed and published in the City of
Huntington Beach, by one insertion prior to the hearing set
forth in Section 2 hereof.
Section 1+: The City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach does hereby elect to proceed under the provisions
of the Street Vacation Act of 1941 in the vacating of a
portion of Eleventh Street as above described.
Section 5: The Street Superintendent is hereby author-
ized and directed to post notices of street vacation as re-
quired by law.

PASSED AND .ADOPTED by the City Council of the City- of
Huntington Beach, California, at a regular meeting thereof
held on the 5th day of March, , 1956.

ex-officio Clerk of the City Council of said City, do here-
by certify that the whole number of members of the City
Council of the City of Huntington Beach is five; that the
foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the affirma-
tive vote of more than a majority of all the members of said
City Council at a regular meeting thereof held on the JLh
day of March 1 19565 by the following vote:
