subject to a covenant running vtith the land that said prop-
erty be used as a public park and for no other purposes,
other'vise the title would revert to and be vested in the
G'_mntor who would be entitled to irmediate Dossession thereof;
and

valuable deposits of hydrocarbons and producing wells have
been drilled in the vicinity of said property and other
e%rells may be drilled near thereto, all of which wells may
be draining oil and -as from beneath said property; and

enter into an Oil and Gas Lease by adoption of a Resolution
passed by Four-fifths (4/5ths) vote finding and declaring

rights of re-entry and reversion to immediately enter into an
Oil and Gas Lease coverin<; said z)roperty, in order to preserve ,
protect and develop the rights of the City in said property
and to prevent the drainage of its oil resources from said
property by others;

1. 7-he City Council does hereby resolve , find, de-
clare and determine t'a t the best interests of the City of
1iuntington Beach will be served and protected by immediate-
ly joining with the owner of the rights of re-entry and re-
version in entering into an Oil and Gas Lease covering the
interest of the City in the real property described as
Block 417, Seventeenth Street Section,

ther Particulars; and

ed to execute said lease on behalf of the City of Hunting-
