A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH
ESTABLISHING THE GENERAL PREVAILING HOURLY WAGES
FOR EACH CRAFT OR TYPE OF WORKMAN OR (MECHANIC
NEEDED FOR THE FURNISHING AND ERECTION OF CONCRETE
STREET LIGHTING STANDARDS ON CREST AVENUE BETvWN
LAKE AVENUE AND FOURTEENTH STREET, IN THE CITY OF
ifiNTINGTON BEECH, CALIFORNIA.
"MREAS, the City Council of the City of. Huntington Beach
has conducted a hearing for the purpose of furnishing and erection
of concrete street lighting standards on Crest Avenue between Lake
Avenue and Fourteenth Street, in the City of Huntington Beach.,
California.
NO4 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of
the City of Huntington Beach does hereby find, establish and determine
that the general prevailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for
workmen needed for the furnishing and erection of concrete street
lighting standards on Crest Avenue between lake Avenue and Fourteenth
Street, within the City of Huntington Beach and the general prevailing
rate of legal holiday and overtime work., is as follows::

Less than 6 Tons $ 2.405
6 Tons to 10 Tons 2.435
10 Tons to 15 Tons 2.485
15 Tons to 20 Tons 2.565
20 Tons or more 2.785
OVERTIME RATES
LABORERS - Time and one-half, except Sundays and Holidays., which
are double time.
OPERATING ENGITNIEEIRS - Time and one-half for all overtime., except
Sundays and Holidays, which are double time. Where Operating
Engineers,, during any one calendar day., are working overtime on
the same unit of a project on which another craft is working over-
time at the double time rate, then the Operating Engineers on such
unit of work shall also be zaid at the double time rate.
TKAMISTERS - Time and one-half except Sundays and Holidays., which
are double time, except in Kern, Inyo and Mono Counties wherethe
overtime rate is time and one-half for all overtime.
FORMIEN - All foremen not herein separately classified shall be
paid not less than 25 cents per hour more than the hourly rate of
the highest classification over which he has supervision.
APPRENTICES - May be employed in conformity with Section 1777-5
of the California labor Code.

The rates per hour indicated above are based upon the
local prevailing rates per day being eight times the above
scheduled rate per hour. Hourly rates of pay, based upon eight
hours per day for a full day or a fractional part of a day. The
per them wages for a fractional part of a day shall be the appli-
cable rate per hour multiplied by the number of hours worked on
said day other than for overtime and/or Sundays or Legal Holidays.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach, California at a regular meeting thereof held on
the 6#L day of May j, 1957.
