A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA,
CANVASSING THE RETURNS OF THE SPECIAL
ELECTION HELD ON TUESDAY JUNE I+th,1957,
PERTAINING TO THE FORTH INNEXATION TO
THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach, California, did, by resolution duly and regularly
adopted at a regular meeting of said City Council call for and
provide for the holding of the Special Election held on
Tuesday, June I-th, 1957, pertaining to the North Annexation
to the City of Huntington Beach; and
WHEREAS, due notice of the holding of said Special
Election has heretofore been given at the time and in the
manner provided by law.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Hunting-
ton Beach, California, do hereby resolve, determine and de-
clare as follows:
Section 1. (a) That the proposition submitted to the
voters at such election was as follows:
"SHALL THE NORTH ANNEXATION BE ANNEXED TO, INCORPORAT-
ED IN AND FADE A PART OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH
AND THE PROPERTY IN SUCH TERRITORY BE, AFTER SUCH AN-
NN.XATIOH SUBJECT TO TAXATION EQUALLY WITH THE PROP-
ERTY WITHIN THE CITY GF HUNTINGTON BEACH TO PAY THE
ENTIRE BONDED INDEBTEDNESS OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTO.

(b) That the whole number of votes
cast in the area designated as the Forth Annexation at
said Special Election, including all absentee votes,

(a) That the name of the Annexation
voted for, the number of votes given in each precinct
to the Nort# Annexation, the absentee votes given to the
North Annexation, together with the whole number of votes
which the said North annexation received in the entire
area, are as follows:

Section 2. It is hereby found and declared that the
area known as the forth Annexation was voted to be annexed
to the City of Huntington Beach by a majority of the votes.

Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to en-
ter on the records of the City Council a statement of the
result of said election as required by law.
Section +; That the City Clerk shall attest and
certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution by
a majority of the votes of the members of the City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach.

I, JOHN L. HENRICKSEN, the duly elected, qualified
and acting City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and
ex-officio Clerk of the City Council of said City' do here-
by certify that the whole number of members of the City
Council of the City of Huntington Beach is five; that the
foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the affirma-
tive vote of more than a majority of all the members of said
City Council at a regular meeting thereof held on the 17th
day of June, 1957, by the following vote:
