A RE-SOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CAMFORNIA,
FIXING THE TAX RATE FOR SAID CITY OF
HUNTINGTON BEACH FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
1957-58.
WHEREAS, the assessed valuation of the taxable property
of the City of Huntington Beach, California, as assessed by the
County Assessor and fixed by the County Board of Equalization of
the C91 ty of Orange, California, for the fiscal year 1957 - 1958
is 46,561,920.00.
WHEREA.St the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach
finds that the amount of money necessary to be raised by taxation on
property in said City of Huntington Beach as a revenue for various
departments of said City for the current fiscal year and to pay
other indebtedness of the City of Huntington Beach, is as follows:

HER ;6S, the City Council by Resolution No# 1287 set the
tax rate for the fiscal year 1956-1957 at one hundred twenty nine
cents (01.29) per one hundred dollars ( 100.00) of assessed value,
which rate applies to the unsecured roll for the fiscal year 1957-
1958, and

WHEREAS, assessed value of the unsecured roll for the
fiscal year 1957 - 1958 as equalized by the Board of Equalization
of the County of Orange amounts to a total of 818,080.00, and.
WHEREAS, the balance necessary to be raised by taxation
from the secured roll for the fiscal year 1957 - 1958 is 585,521000,
and
WHEREAS, a tax rate of one hundred twenty-eight cents
(01.28) upon each one hundred dollars ( 1nd.CQ) of assessed value
of the property in said City as assessed by the County Assessor and
equalized by the Board of Supervisors sitting as a Board of Equaliza-
tion of the County of Orange is sufficient to raise the said amount
of moneys
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the
City of Huntington Beach, California, that the rate of taxation for
,said. City for the fiscal year 1957 - 1958 (secured roil for 1957
1958 and unsecured roll for 1958 - 1959) be fixed at one hundred
twenty-eight cents ( 1.28) upon each one hundred dollars ( lfl4.00)
assessed value in said City. The said rate shall be segregated as
follows:
1. General Fund 63.53
2, Music and Promotion Fund 19.07
3. Library Fund 10,24
4. Special Recreation Fund 6.66
5, Capital Outlay ,Reserve Fund 18*09
6. Water Bond Sales 1955 ..

Huntington Beach, California* at a regular meeting thereof held on
the 19th day of August a 1957.
