HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 1324 I RESOLUTION No. 1324 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL aF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, APPROVING MODIFICATION OF BOUNDARIES OF THE PROPOSED ANNEX- ATION TO SANITATION DISTRICT No. 11 The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, Orange County, California, resolves as follows: WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach by Resolution No. 1316, adopted August 5, 1957, and Resolution No. 1320, adopt- ed September 30, 1957, requested the Board of Supervisors and County Sanitation District No. 11 to initiate and prose- cute the annexation of certain described territory to County Sanitation District No. 11 of Orange County and in said resolutions said City gave its consent to said annexation; and WHEREAS, after public hearing the Board of Supervisors on November 13th, 1957, gave tentative approval to modification of the boundaries of the proposed annexation to Sanitation District No. 11; and WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach has considered the proposed modification of the boundaries of said annexation. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, FOUND AND DECLARED that the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach gives its consent to the proposed modification of the boundaries for the proposed annexation to County Sanitation District No. 11; \ 1• Res. No. 1324 and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the territory to be annexed to County Sanitation District No. 11, in accordance with the proposed modification of boundaries, be described as follows: Beginning at the Southwest corner of Section 34, Township 5 South, Range 11 West, San Bernardino Meridian, said corner being an angle point in the boundary line of "County Sanitation District No. 11" , as now established; thence leaving said boundary line , North along the West line of said Section 34 to the North line of the South one-half (Sj) of the Southwest one-quarter (SWi4) of said Section 34; thence, Easterly along said North line , a distance of 1250.00 feet, more or less, to the intersection of a line that is parallel with and 100.00 feet Northwesterly, as measured at right angles, from the West line of Orange County Sani- tation District No. 3; thence, following along a line that is parallel with said West line, the following courses and distances; N. 140 211 E. , a distance of 712.00 feet, more or less; thence, N. 14Q 531 E. , a distance of 347.68 feet; thence N. 210 361 E. , a distance of 409.22 feet; thence N. 280 34t E. , a distance of 878.49 feet; thence 2. Res. No.1324 N. 380 081 E. , along said parallel line and its Northeasterly prolongation to the East line of the West one-half (WJ) of said Section 3f+;thence leaving said parallel lines, Northerly along said East line to the North line of said Section 34; thence, Westerly along said North line to the West line of said Section 34; thence North 2620 feet, more or less, along the Westerly line of Section 27, Township 5 South, Range 11 West,San Bernardino Meridian, to a point in the South line of Slater Avenue , forty feet (401) wide as now laid out; thence West 1320 feet, more or less, along the South line of Slater Avenue to its West- erly terminus; thence North 20.00 feet to the East- West quarter section line through Section 28, Township 5 South, Range 11 West, San Bernardino Meridian; thence West 1320 feet, more or less, along said quarter section line to the center of said Section 28; thence North 2610 feet, more or less, to an intersection with the South line of Wintersburg Avenue, seventy (70) feet wide, as now laid out; thence West 20 feet along said South line to an intersection with the Southerly produc- ed West line of Graham Street, forty feet (401 ) wide as now laid out; thence North 2650 feet, more Res. No. 1324 or less, along said West line of Graham Street and its Southerly prolongation, to an intersection with the South line of Gerhart Avenue, forty feet ()+0' ) wide as now laid out; thence West 2650 feet, more or less, along said South line of Gerhart Avenue to an intersection with the West line of Bolsa Chica Street, sixty feet (601 ) wide, as now laid out; thence North 2630 feet, more or less, along said West line of Bolsa Chica Street, to an intersection with the South line of Smeltzer Aven- ue, sixty feet (60' ) wide as now laid out; thence Easterly 2.5 miles, more or less, along said South line of Smeltzer Avenue to the center line of the main track of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company, said center line being also the boundary line of County Sanitation District No. 3, as now established; thence following along said boundary line in a general Southerly and Southwesterly direction to an angle point in said boundary line in the South line of Section 34, Township 5 South, Range 11 West, San Bernardino Meridian, said angle point being in the boundary line of County Sanita- tion District No. 11; thence leaving the boundary line of County Sanitation District No. 3, Westerly along the South line of said Section 34, and along \ 4' Res. No. 1324 , the boundary line of County Sanitation District No. 11, to the Southwest corner of Section 34, Township 5 South, Range 11 West, San Bernardino Meridian, and the point of beginning. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, FOUND AND DECLARED that the territory so proposed to be annexed to County Sanitation Dis. trict No. 11 of Orange County will be benefited by the annex. ation thereof to said district and the Board of Directors of County Sanitation District No. 11 and the Board of Supervisors of Orange County are hereby requested to prosecute said pro- posed annexation of the above described territory to County Sanitation District No. 11 of Orange County; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the consent of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach to the annexation of that part of the territory above described which lies within the city limits of the City of Huntington Beach to County Sanitation District No. 11 of Orange County, is hereby given. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this resolution be filed with the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange and County Sanitation District No. 11 of Orange County. 5. Res.
