1REAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach
has conducted a hearing for the purpose of establishing sanitary sewers
on Quincy Street between Lake Avenue and Alabama ,Avenue, on Alabama
,Avenue between Quincy Street and Utica Street, and on Springfield Street
between Alabama. Avenue and Delaware .Avenue, in the City of Huntington
Beach, and has considered evidence presented„
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLD; That the City Council of
the City of Huntington Beach does hereby find, establish and determine
that the general prevailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for
workman needed in the construction and installation•of sanitary sewers
on Quincy Street between Lake Avenue and Alabama Avenue, on Alabama
Avenue between Quincy Street and Utica Street, and on Springfield Street
between Alabama .Avenue and Delaware Avenue, within the City of Huntington
Beach and the general prevailing rate of legal holiday and overtime work,
is as follows:

OVERTD0 FATES
CANT MASONS - Time and fine--half for the first three hours after the
regularly constituted straight-time shift, and all other overtime shall
be double time.
tlaTCH N Time and one-half for all time worked in excess of eight (8)
hours per day and for the sixth consecutive day worked; double time for
the seventh consecutive day worked. Watchmen shall also receive time
and one-half for holidays, except where a holiday falls on the 7th
consecutive day worked, which shaldl be double time,
IABO - Time and one-half, except Sundays and Holidays., Ihich are
double time.
OP ,TING ENGIi RS - Time and one-half for all overtime, except Sundays
and Holidays, -which are double time* Where Operating Engineers, during
any one calendar day, are Forking overtime on the same unit of a project
on; which another craft is working overtime at the double time rate, then
the Operating Engineers on such unit of ,pork shall also be paid at the

double time rate.
TEAMSTERS - Time and cane-half except Sundays and Holidays, which are
double time, except in Kern, Inyo and Mono Counties where the overtime
rate is time and one-half for all overtime.
FCREWN: All foremen not herein separately classified shall be paid
not less than 25 cents per hoar more than, the hourly rate of the
highest classification over which he has supervision.
APPRENTICES: May be employed in conformity with Section 1777*5 of the
California Tabor Code.
The rates per hour indicated above are based upon the local
prevailing rates per day being eight times the above scheduled rate
per hour. Hourly rates of pay, based upon eight hours per dap for a.
full dap or a fractional part of a day. The per diem wages for a
fractional part of a day shall be the applicable rate per hour multi-
plied by the number of hogs worked on said day other than for overtime
anal/or Sundays or Legal Holidays.
Passed and adopted, by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach, California at a regular meeting thereof held on
the 3rd day of Febraary 1958.
