A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON
BEACH TO VACATE A PORTION OF AN ALLEY
IN SAID CITY, AND GIVING NOTICE OF A.
HEARING ON SAID VACATION,
T. REAS, a petition has been presented to the City
Council of the City of Huntington Beach to abandon an
alley, as hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to vacate the said.
alley, as hereinafter described?
Nal THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Hunt-
ington Beach, California, does resolve, determine and de-
clare as follows:
Section l: That the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach does hereby declare its intention to vacate
that certain alley running through Block "A", Tract No.
528, in the City of Huntington Beach, which alley is further
described as follows.
That certain public alley situated in Block
"All of Tract No. 528, running northerly from
Wintersburg .Avenue through said Block "A" to
the northerly terminus of said alley, and
more particularly described as:

That parcel of land 15 feet wide and 614.22
feet long situated in Block '''A" of Tract No.
528, as shown on a map thereof recorded in
Book 18, at Page 28, of Miscellaneous Maps,
Records of Orange County*, California, said
parcel of land being a public alley which
runs northerly from Wintersburg Avenue
through said Block ''A" to its northerly ter-
minus
For further particulars reference is hereby made to
a map on file in the office of the City Clerk of said
City.
Section 2; The City Council does hereby determine
that the public convenience and necessity requires the
reservation of easements and rights-of-way for structures
enumerated in Section 8330 of the Streets and Highways
Code of the State of California , and that the proceedings
herein are taken subject to such reservations and except-
ions.
Section 3; That notice is hereby given 'that the
1?th day of March , 1958, at the hour of 8;3a
o 'clock F.M. in the Council Chamber in the City Balls
Huntington Beach, California, is the time and place when and
` where a public hearing shall be held upon said resolution

of intention to vacate said above described alley, at
which hearing all persons interested in or objecting to
the proposed vacation may be heard.
Section 4: The City Clerk is hereby authorized
and directed to cause a copy of this resolution of inten-
tion to be published in the Huntington Beach News, a news-
paper of general circulation, printed and published in
the City of Huntington Beach by one insertion prior to
the hearing set forth in Section 3 hereof.
Section 5: The City Council of the City of Hunt-
ington Beach does hereby elect to proceed under the pro-
visions of the "State Vacation Act of 1941.t', in the va-
cating of the alley as above described.
Section 6: The .Street Superintendent is hereby
authorized and directed, to post notices of street vacation
as required by law,
PASS: D AIDID ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Huntington Beach, California, at a regular meeting
thereof held on the 17th- day of February 1958.

I, J OHN L. HENRICKSEN, the duly elected, qualified
and acting City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach,
and ex-officio Clerk of the City Council of said City,
do hereby certify that the whole number of members of the
City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, is five; that
the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the
affirmative vote of more than a majority of all the mem-
bers of said City Council at a regular meeting thereof
held on the _11th day of February , 1958, by the
following vote:
