A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COTTNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH GIVING NOTICE
OF PROPOSED ANITEXATION TO CITY OF H"uNT-
INGTON BEACH CIF TIH&T CERTAIN UNINHABITED
TERRITORY DESCRIBED HEREIN AND DESIGNATED
AS'"NORTHEAST No. 1 ANME ATIO T" , AND GIVING
NOTICE OF TIMM AINT PLACE FOR. TARING CF
PROTESTS THERETO
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL (F THE CITY OF
HUNT INGT ON BEACH
1. That pursuant to the provisions of the "Anneiation
of Uninhabited Territory Act of 193911 , a petition signed by
owners of not less than one-fourth of the land in the
hereinafter described territory by area and by assessed value
as shown on the last equalized assessment roll of the County
of Orange , was filed with the Council of the City of Hunt-
ington Beach on February 17th, 19587 requesting annexation
of the hereinafter described territory to said City; that
said territory which said petitions request be annexed to
the City of Huntington Beach and which said City and its
Council propose to annex to the City of Huntington Beach is
situate in the County of Oranges State of California, hereby
designated "Northeast No. 1 Annexation" , and described as
follows*
"Beginning at the intersection of a line that is
parallel with and 15«00 feet Southerly, as measur-
ed at right angles, from the one-quarter section
line running East and West through the center of

Section 24, T. 5 Sol Re 11 W. , San Bernardino
Meridian, with the Easterly right of way lane
of Huntington Beach Boulevard, 132.00 feet in
width, said Easterly right of way line also be-
ing the City Limits of the City of Huntington
Beach; thence, Easterly along said parallel
line, a distance of 2558.00 feet, more or less,
to the intersection of a line that is parallel
with and 20.00 feet Easterly, as measured at
right angles, from the North and South one- quar-
ter section line running through the center of
said Section 24; thence , Southerly along said
parallel line, a distance of 5.00 feet, to the
intersection of a line that is parallel with
and 20.00 feet Southerly, as measured at right
angles, from said East and West one-quarter sec-
tion lane; thence, Easterly along said parallel
line and its Easterly prolongation, a distance
of 2650.00 feet, more or less, to the boundary
of the City of Fountain Valley; thence , Southerly
and Westerly along said boundary to an angle
point in said boundary, said angle point being in
a line parallel with and 30.00 feet Southerly, as
measured at right angles, from the South. line
of said Section 24; thence , Westerly along said
parallel line to the boundary of the City of
Huntington Beach; thence Northerly, Westerly and
Northerly along said boundary to the point of
beginning."
2. That the County Boundary Commission of Orange County,
California, did in session duly assembled on December 30,
195?, approve the proposed annexation boundaries of said
'Northeast No. 1 Annexation", as above described, and as sub-
mitted to said Commission by the proponents of said annexa-
tion of said territory to said city.
3. That Monday , April 7th , 195 8 . at the
hour of 8:00 o' clock P.M. of said day, in the Colancil
Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Huntington Beach,

County of Orange, California, is hereby fixed as the time
and place when and where any person owning property within
the uninhabited territory above described and proposed to
be annexed to the City of Huntington Beach and having any
objection to the proposed annexation may appear before the
Council of the City of Huntington. Beach and show cause why
such uninhabited territory should .not be so annexed to said
City of Huntington Beach. Such protest must be in writing,
may be filed at any time before the hour set for hearing
objections to the proposed annexation, and shall state the
name or names of the owner or owners of property affected
and the description and area of such property in general

terms.
The City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach is
hereby authorized and directed to cause a copy of this
resolution to be published at least twice, but not oftener
than once a week, in the "Huntington Beach News"; a newspaper
of general circulation published in said City of Huntington.
Beach, the city to which it is proposed to annex the afore»
said territory, and also in the 3Westminster Herald" , a news—
paper of general circulation published outside the City of
Huntington Beach' but in the County of Orange, California,
the county in which is located the territory proposed to be
annexed to the City of Huntington Beach, said publication to
be complete at least twenty (20) days prior to the date set;
for hearing.

And the said City Clerk is further authorized and di-
rected to cause written notice of such proposed annexation
to be mailed to each person to whom land within the terri-•
itory proposed to be annexed is assessed in the last
equalized county assessment roll available on the date the
above proceedings were initiated, at the addressed shovrz on
said assessment roll or as known to said Clerk, and to any
person who has filed his name and address and the designa-
tion of the lands in which he has any interest, either
legal or equitable with said Clerk, such notice to be given
not less than twenty (20) days before the first public
hearing on the proposed annexation.
.And in the event any land within the territory proposed
to be annexed is owned by a county, the said City Clerk
is directed to cause written notice of such proposed annexa-
ti.on to be mailed to the Board of Supervisors of such
county, such notice to be given not less than twenty (20)
days before the first public hearing on the proposed annexa.

.And the said City Clerk is directed to cause written
notice to be given to such other persons as may be legally
entitled thereto, in the manner required by law.
PASSED ,AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach, at a regular meeting thereof held on
the 17th day of February, ' 195 •

I, JOHN L a HENRICKSEN, the duly elected, qualified
and acting City Clem of the City of Huntington Beach, and
ex-officio Clerk of the City Council of said City, do here-
by certify that the whole number of Members of the City
Council of the City of Huntington Beach is five; that the
foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the affirma-
tive vote of more than a majority of all the members of
said City Council at a regular meeting thereof held on the
17th day of February 1958, by the following
vote.-
