A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HL TINGTON BEACH, CALIFO;aLNIA,
FIXING THE TAX ATE FOR SAID CITY OF
HUNTINGTON BEACH FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
1958-59.
WHEREAS, the assessed valuation of the taxable property
of the City of Huntington Beach, California, as assessed by the
County Assessor and fired by the County Board of Equalization of
the County of Orange, California, for the fiscal year 1958-19 9
is 70,723,320.00.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach finds that the anount of money necessary to be raised by
taxation on property in said City of Huntington Beach as a.
revenue for various departments of said City for the current
fiscal year and to pay other indebtedness of the City of
Huntington peach, is as follows;
1. General Fund. $534,026.00
2. Music and Promotion. Fund 215t995.00
3. Library fund. 5'4,044.00
4. Special Recreation Fund 40,556.00
5. Water Bond Sale - 1955
Interest and Redemption 61m72 `00
905,259.00
WHEREAS; the City Council. by Resolution No. 1519 set
the tax rate for the fiscal year 1957-1958 at one hundred twenty
eight cents ( 1..25) per one hundred dollars ( 100.00) of assessed
value, which rate applies to the unsecured roll for the fiscal
year 1955-1959, and

R kS, assessed value of the unsecured roll for the
fiscal year 1958-1959 as equalized by the Board. of Equalization
of the County of Orange amounts to a total of 1,282,51C.00, and.
MU AS, the balance necessary to be raised by taxation
from the secured roll for the fiscal year 1958-1959 is $888,843.00v
and
WHEREAS, a tax rate of one hundred twenty-eight cents
( 1..28) upon each one .hundred dollars ( 1€0C.00) of assessed value
of the property in said City as assessed by the County .Assessor
and equalized by the board of Supervisors sitting as a Board of
Equalization of the County of Orange is sufficient to raise the
said mount of money,
W THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of
the City of Huntington Beach, California, that the rate of taxation
for said, City for the fiscal year 1958-1959 (secured roll for 1959-
1959 and unsecured roll for 19 9.-19 ) be fixed at one hundred
twenty-weight cents ( 1.28) upon each one hundred dollars ( 100.0 )
assessed value in said City. The said rate shall be segregated as
follows:
1. general fund 75.36
2. Music and Promotion Fund 30,54
3. Library Fund 7.64
4. Special Recreation Fund. 5.73

whole number of members of the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach is five; that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted
by the affirmative vote of more than a majority of all the members
of said City Council at a regular meeting thereof held on the 18th
