A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH,
CALIFORNIA.
On motion of Councilman Terry, duly seconded
and unanimously carried by Council members present,
the following Resolution was adopted:
WHEREAS, The 1957 Legislature by the passing
of Senate Concurrent Resolution #26 endorsed a study
of the freeway needs of the State of California to
be made by the State Division of Highways, and
WHEREAS, the results of this study are embodied
in Senate Bill #480 and Assembly Rill #1169, intro-
duced before the present session of the Legislature,
and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this City Council
that the establishment of the California Freeway
System is essential to the future development of the
State of California, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this City Council
that the needs of the State of California would be
properly served by the adoption of the Legislation
as is proposed in Senate Bill #480 and Assembly Bill
,#116 9 a
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT. RESOLVED that the City
Council does hereby approve Senate Ball #480 and
E_
Assembly Bill 1169, and does hereby urge the passage

of Senate Bill #480 and Assembly Bill #1169 by both
houses of the Legislature and does respectfully re-
quest the Governer of the State of California to
sign either such Bill -upon its passage.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVER that the Clerk of
this Council forward certified copies of this Resol-
ution to:

of Huntington. Beach, California, at a regular meeting
thereof held on the 6th day of April, 1959.

and acting City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach,
and ex-officio Clerk of the City Council of said City,
do hereby certify that the whole number of members of
the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach is five;
that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted
by the affirmative vote of more than a 'majority of all
the members of said City Council at a regular meeting
thereof held on the 6th day of April, 1959, by the
