N OR NECHANIC SEEDED FOR THE. PECONSTRUUTION, SURFACING, AN]D IMPROVEMENT OF' GOLDEN WEST STREET FROM SLATER, .AVENUE TO SNELTZER AVENUE, IN THE CITY OF HU TINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA. WHEREAS, the City Council of the Cry of Huntington Beach has conducted a hearing for the purpose of establishing the general prevailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for worinen needed in the reconstruction, resurfacing, and improvement of Golden West Street from. Slater Avenue to Smeltzer ,Avenue, and has considered evidence presented. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby find, establish and determine that the general prevailing rate of hourly wages in this Locality for work-- non needed in the reconstruction, resurfacing, and :improvement of Olden West Street from Slater .Avenue to Smeltzer .Avenue, within the Cite of Huntington Beach and the general prevailing rate of legal_ holiday and overtime ;pork, is as follows. LABORERS Time and one-half except Sundays and Holidays which are double time. OPERA.TIT,IG ENGIT NEERS Time and one-half for all overtime except Sundays and Holidays which are double time. there Operating Engineers, during any one calendar day, are working overtime on the same unit of a project on which another craft is working overtime at the double time rate, then the Operating Engineers on such unit of work shall also be paid, at the double time rate. A unit of the project means any single building, facility, utility, or any other single structure which is independent of any other unit of the project. The operating of a crushing plant for stack pile and the servicing, repairing., and maintenance of equipment on a project shall be at time and tine-half, except in the follow- ing two instances. 1. Sundays and Holidays. 2. sere the equipment operator is repairing his equipment on a unit of the project where doable time is being paid in that calendar day. When the Operating Engineer is working on a project as an. li Resolution No, 1371 integral part° of a crew where another craft is receiving over- time pay by virtue of a holiday not specified in the Master Iabor Agreement, then the Operating Engineer shall receive the same overtime rate as the other craft. The rates per hoer, indicated above are based upon the local prevailing rates per day being eight times the above scheduled rate per hour. Hourly rates of pair, based upon eight hours per day for a full day or a fractional part of a day. The per diem wages of a .fractional part of a day shall be the applicable rate per hour multiplied by the number of hours worked on said da—y other than, for overtime and/or Sundays or Legal Holidays.
