HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 1380 RESOLUTION NO. 1380 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIF- ORNIA, CANVASSING THE RETURNS OF THE SPECIAL REFERENDUM ELECTION HELD ON TUESDAY, JUNE 9th, 1959, IN SAID CITY. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Hunt- ington Beach, California, did, by resolution duly and regularly adopted at a regular meeting of said Council call for and provide for the holding of the Special Refer- endum election within said City of Huntington Beach on the 9th day of June, 1959, and WHEREAS, due notice of the holding of said Special Referendum Election has heretofore been given at the time and in the manner provided by law, NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California, do hereby resolve, deter- mine and declare as follows: Section 1: (a) That the whole number of votes cast in the City of Huntington Beach at said Special Refer- endum Election, including all absentee votes, is 1794 . Section 2: (a) That the measure voted upon at said Special Referendum Election was designated as follows: "Shall Ordinance No. 706 Passed and Adopted by the City Council at a regular held meeting on February 16th, 1959, entitled An Ordinance of the City of Huntington Beach amending the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code; adopt- ing a Zoning Plan being a precised section of Land Use �.lw Resolution No. 1380 Plan Unit of the Master Plan and an Official Plan of said City; Specifying the purposes and effects of the adoption of said Plan whereby various districts are established in said City: Specifying the uses of land and of buildings permitted in said districts: Requiring certain yards and other open spaces within said districts: Prescribing for the erection, construction, alteration and maintenance of buildings, structures and other improvements in said dis- tricts, including the requirements that certain permits shall be secured for certain of such buildings, structures and improvements, and for the use thereof and of land: Defining the terms used herein: Specifying the procedure for the amendment hereof: Repealing all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith: And prescrib- ing penalties for the violation of any of the provisions herein, be adopted?" Section 4: The City Clerk is hereby directed to enter on the records of the City Council a statement of the result of said election as required by law. Section 5 : The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution by a majority of the votes of the members of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beachp California, by a vote of More than a majority of all its members, at a .regular meet— ing of said City Council held on the 15th day of June, 1959. HENRICKSEN, the duly elected, quali- fied and acting City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach and ea-officio Clerk of the City Council of said City, do hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach is five; that the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of more than a maj- ority of all members of said City Council at a regular meeting of said City Council held on the 15thday of June , 1959, by the following vote : AYES: Councilmen Bryant, Lambert, Terry, Waite, Irby.
