A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA,
FIXING THE TAX RATE FOA SAID CITY OF
HUNTINGTON BEACH FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
1959»1960.
WHEIW-,A.S, the assessed valuation of the taxable property
of the City of Huntington Beach, California, as assessed by the
County Assessor and fixed by the County Board of Equalization of
the County of Orange, California# for the fiscal year 1959-1960
is $769278,490,00,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach finds that the amount of money necessary to be raised by
taxation on property in said City of Huntington Beach as a
revenue for various departments of said City for the current
fiscal year and to pay other indebtedness of the City of
Huntington Beach, is as follows:
1. General Fund $ 5549926.00
2. Music and Promotion Fund 256*245.00
3. Library Fund 57*050.00
4. Special Recreation Fund 439239.00
5, Water Bonds - 1955
Interest and Redemption 58,275,00
6. Special Fund for Capital Outlay Reserve 45,000.00
$19014,735.00
WHEREAS, the City Council by Resolution No. 1349 set
the tax rate for the fiscal year 1958-1959 at one hundred twenty
eight cents ($1.28) per one hundred dollars ($100.00) of assessed
value, which rate applies to the unsecured roll for the fiscal

year 1959-1960, and
WHEREAS, assessed value of the unsecured roll for the
fiscal year 1959-1960 as equalized by the Board of Equalization
of the County of Orange amounts to a total of $29842,920.00, and
WHEREAS, the balance necessary to be raised by taxation
from the secured roll for the fiscal year 1959-1960 is $9789346.009
and
WHEREAS, a tax rate of one hundred thirty three cents
($1.33) upon each one hundred dollars ($100.00) of assessed value
of the property in said City as assessed by the County Assessor
and equalized by the Board of Supervisors sitting as a Board of
Equalization of the County of Orange is sufficient to raise the
said amount of money,
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of
the City of Huntington Beach, California, that the rate of taxation
for said City for the fiscal year 1959-1960 (secured roll for 1959-
1960 and unsecured roll for 1960-1961) be fixed at one hundred
thirty three cents ($1.33) upon each one hundred dollars ($100.00)
of assessed value in said City. The said rate shall be segregated
as follows:
1. General Fund 72.74
2. Music and Promotion Fund 33.60
3. Library Fund 7.47
4. Special Recreation Fund 5.67
5. Water Bonds — 1955
Interest and Redemption 7.63
6. Special Fund for Capital Outlay Reserve 5.89

by the affirmative vote of more than a majority of all the members
of said City Council at a regular meeting thereof held on the 17th
