AN ORDER OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNT INGT ON BEACH VACATING A
PORTION OF NASHVILLE STREET IN SAID
CITY.
1911EREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach,
California, did, by unanimous vote on the 17th day of August,
1959, at a regular meeting of said body, regularly and duly
adopt Resolution No. 1387 entitled, "A Resolution of Inten-
tion of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach to
vacate a portion of Nashville Street in said city and giving
Notice of a Hearing on said vacation"; and
'AREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach
did elect to proceed under the provisions of the Street
Vacation Act of 191+1; and
WHEREAS, the portion of the street to be vacated lies
within the City of Huntington Beach and is not a portion of
the State Highway; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach
did cause a copy of said Resolution of Intention to be pub-
lished in the Huntington Beach News, a newspaper of general
circulation,printed and published in the City of Huntington
Beach by one insertion on the 2h. day of August ,1959;
and
WHEREAS, said resolution contained a notice that the

21st day of September, 1959, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock
P.M. , in the Council Chamber in the City Hall, Huntington
Beach, California, was the time and place when and where
a public hearing was to be held upon said resolution of
intention, at which hearing all persons interested in or ob-
jecting to the proposed vacation may be heard; and
WHEREAS, Notice of Street Vacation was posted as re-
quired by law:
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Hunt-
ington Beach, California does resolve as follows:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach, California, after hearing the evidence offered by
all persons interested appearing before said Council, does
hereby find from all the evidence submitted at the hearing
that the portion of the street herein described is unnecesss-
ary for present or prospective public streets,-and alley pur-
poses.
Section 2. It is hereby ordered that that certain
street in the City of Huntington Beach described as follows:
That portion of the right of way of Nashville
Street as follows :
Commencing at the point of intersection of the
West right of way of Alabama Avenue in the
south line of Lot 1, Block 1401, T.J.Watson' s
Resubdivision; thence westerly 125' to the

east line of the "Southern Pacific Railroad"
right of way; thence southerly 30' to the
prolongation of the north line of Summit
Tract, said tract being a resubdivision of
Watsonts Addition to Huntington Beach, as
recorded , in Miscellaneous Maps, Book 3,Page
39, Orange County records; thence easterly
on said north line 125t to the intersection
with the west line of Alabama Avenue; thence
northerly 30t to the point of beginning,
be and the same is hereby vacated for public street and
alley purposes.
Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to cause a certified copy of this Order, attested
by the Clerk under the seal of this City, together with
a certified copy of Resolution No. 1387 to be recorded in
the office of the County Recorder of Orange County, Calif—
ornia.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach, California, at a regular meeting thereof
held on this 218t day of September , 1959•

I, JOHN L. HENRICKSEN, the duly elected, qualified
and acting City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and
ex-officio Clerk of the City Council of said City, do hereby
certify that the whole number of members of the City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach is five; that the foregoing
resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote
of more than a majority of all the members of said City
Council at a regular meeting thereof held on the 21st day
of September , 19597 by the following roll call vote:
