HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 1400 i RESOLUTION No. 1400 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA, APPROV- ING ANIXATION OF TERRITORY TO COUNTY SANITA- TION DISTRICT No. 11. The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, Orange County, California, resolve as follows: WHEREAS, it appears that it is desirable that certain territory,hereinafter described, which lies within the city limits of the City of Huntington: Beach be annexed to County Sanitation District No. 11 of Orange County, California; and WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to said County Sanitation District No. 11 of Orange County, California, and is not included in any other sanitation district or other districts formed for similar purposes and that such annexa- tion would be a benefit to the territory so annexed; and WHEREAS, the Council having fully considered the matter of said proposed annexation and being fully advised thereof; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, FOUND AND DECLARED that it is desirable that the territory in the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, described as: "Commencing at the Northeast corner of Section 20, Township 5 South, Range 11 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian; thence Northerly, along the West line of Section 17, T. 5 S. , R. 11 W., S.B.B. & M. , 30 feet to a point; thence Westerly 30 feet to a point in the West line of Bolsa Chica Street, 60 feet in width as now laid out, said point being in the existing boundary line of the City of Huntington Beach and said point being 1. Res. No. 1400 also the true point of beginning; thence Westerly along the North line of Smeltzer Avenue, 60 feet in width as now laid out, said line being 30 feet North of and parallel to the North line of said Section 20, 3930 feet more or less to a point in the northerly prolon ation of the West line of the East one-half (E*5 of the Northwest one-quarter (NWT) of said Section 20; thence Southerly along- said Nest line of the East one- half (E*) of the Northwest one-quarter (NWJ-) and its Northerly prolongation 2010 feet more or less to a point in the North line of the South one-half (S*) of the South one-half (S*) of the North one-half (N*) of said Section 20, . thence Easterly on said North line a distance of 3930 feet more or less to a point in the 'West line of Bolsa Chiea Street, said point being also in the existing boundary line of the City of Huntington Beach; thence Northerly along said 'West line of Bolsa Chica Street and said boundary line 2010 feet more or less to the true point of beginning" , be annexed to County Sanitation District No. 11 of Orange County, California; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, FOUND AND DECLARED that the territory so proposed to be annexed to County Sanitation District No. 11 of Orange County, will be beneftted by the annexation thereof to said District and the Board of Directors of County Sanitation District No. 11 and the Board of Super- visors of Orange County California, are hereby requested to initiate and prosecute said proposed annexation to the above described territory to County Sanitation District No. 11 of Orange County; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the consent of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach to the annexation of the territory above described to County Sanitation District 2. Res. No. 1400 No. 11 of Orange County, is hereby given; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLD that a certified copy of this Resolution be filed with the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange and County Sanitation District No, ll of Orange County.
