HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 1401 RESOLUTION UT ON No. 1401 A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH TO VACATE A PORTION OF A STREET` IN SAID CITY AND GIVING NOTICE OF A HEARING ON SUCH VACATION. The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach do resolve as follows: Section 1. That the City Council of the City €f Hunt- ington Beach does hereby declare its intention to vacate that certain portion of a street within the City of Hunting- ton Beach described as follows: All that certain land situated in the State of California, County of Orange, City of Huntington Beach, described as follows: That portion of the land described in deeds to the City of Huntington Beach, recorded on September 29,1914 in book 259, page 213 of Deeds and recorded on February 16,1931 in book 455, page 444 of Official Records, ly- ing within that portion of the Northeast quarter of FractionalSection 14 Township 6 South Ran a 11 West, p , g , in the Rancho 'Las Bolsas, as shown on a map recorded in book 51, page 11+ of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California, described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the Northeasterly line of theright of way 8O fee wide of the Southern g y t � Pacific Railroad Company, as described in the second parcel of a deed recorded on December 20 1905 in book 123, page 96 of Deeds, with a line parallel with and distant Southerly 24 chains from. the North line of said Northeast quarter; thence North 890 43' East 411.54 feet along said parallel line; thence South 360 54' West 288.91 feet to the Northeasterly line of Pacific Coast Highway, U. S. 101 described as Parcel 2 in deed recorded on June 11, 1336 in book 826, page 379 of Official Records; thence North 530 06, West 219,95 feet along said Northeasterly line to said Northeasterly line of the railroad right of way, being a point on a 40 curve concave Northeasterly; thence Northeasterly 115.19 feet along said curve and North easterly line to the point of beginning. 1. Res. No. 1401 For further particulars, reference is hereby made to a map on file in the Office of the City Clerk of said City. Section 2. That the portion of the street above de- scribed to be vacated hereby lies adjacent to and along the northerly portion of the street commonly known by the names of Coast Boulevard, Pacific Coast Highway and Ocean Avenue. Section 3. That notice is hereby given that the 28th day of December 19--L9 at the hour of (Y:00 o tclock P.M. in the Council Chamber in the City Hall, Huntington Beach, California is the time and place when and where a public hearing shall be held upon said resolution of inten- tion to vacate said above described portion of a street, at which hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation may be heard. Section 1+. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause a copy of this resolution of intention to be published in the Huntington Beach News, a newspaper of general circulation printed and published in the City of Huntington Beach, by one insertion prior to the hearing set forth in Section 3 hereof* Section 5. The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby elect to proceed under the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 191+1 in the vacating of a portion of the street above described. Res. No. 1401 Section 6, The Street Superintendent is hereby auth- orized and directed to post notices of street vacation as required by law.
