HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 1419 RESOLUTION NO. 1419 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THZ CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIF- ORNIA, CANVASSING THE RETURNS OF THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON TUESDAY, APRIL 12, 1960, IN SAID CITY. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California, did, by resolution duly and regularly adopted at a i regular meeting of said Council call for and provide for the holding of the general municipal election within said City of Huntington �I Beach on the 12th day of April, 1960, and WHEREAS, due notice of the holding of said general election has heretofore been given at the time and in the manner provided by law, NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California, do hereby resolve, determine and declare as follows: Section 1: (a) That the whole number of votes cast in the City of Huntington Beach at said general election, including all absentee votes, is 2452 (b) That the names of the persons voted for, the offices for which they were voted; the number of votes given in each precinct to each of said persons, the absentee votes given to each of said persons, together with the whole number of votes which said persons received in the entire city, are as follows; .I« Names of persona Absentee Total voted for: Office Consolidated Precincts Total Vote's Votes 1 2 3 4 5 8 9 10 Paul A. Gisler Councilman Jake R. Stewart Councilman Lyndon A. Wells Councilman Paul C. Jones City Clerk William M. Clegg City Treasurer Section 3s The City Clerk is hereby directed to enter on the records of the City Council a statement of the result of said election as required by law. Section 4s The City Clerk shall make and deliver to each of such persons elected a certification of election signed by him and duly authenticated following the filing of the candidate's campaign Statement as required under Sections 4501.5 or 4503 of the Elections Code, State of California. He shall also impose the constitutional oath of office and have each of said persons sub• scribe thereto, whereupon they shall be inducted into the respective offices to which they have been elected. Section 5s That the City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution by a majority of the votes of the members of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach. .4o Reso.
