A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY of HUNTINGTON BEACH
ESTABLISHING THE. GENE" PREVAILING HOURLY
WAGES FOR EACH CRAFT OR TYPE OF WORMN OR
NECH IIC NEEDED FOR THE CONSTRUCTION AND
INSTAIJATION OF A WATER DISTRIBUTI0N MAIN ON
TALBERT AVENUE FROM 2990 FEET WEST OF BEACH
B0ULEVARD TO 2328 FEET EAST OF BS.ACH BOULEVARD,
IN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, the City Gouncil of the City of Huntington Beach
has conducted a hearing for the purpose of establishing a grater distri—
bution main on. Talbert Avenue from 1990 feet vest of Beach Boulevard to
1328 feet east of Beach Boulevard, in the City of Huntington Beach, and
has considered evidence presented.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of
the City of Huntington Beach does hereby finds establish and determd
that the general prevailing rate of hourly gages in this locality for
workmen needed in the construction and installation of a water distri—
bution main on Talbert Avenue from 1990 feet most of Beach Boulevard to
1328 feet east of Beach Boulevard, within the City of Huntington Beach and the
general prevailing rate of legal holiday and overtime work, is as follows:

DVERTDZ RATES
HM - Time and one-half for all time worked in excess of eight (8)
hours per day and for the sixth consecutive day worked; double time for
the seventh consecutive day worked. Watchmen shall also receive time
and one-half for holidays, except where a holiday falls on the 7th
consecutive day worked, which shall be double time.
IAA - Time and one-half, except Sundays and Holidays, which are
double time.
OPERATING ENGINEERS - Time and one-half for all overtime, except Sundays
and Holidays, which are double time. Where Operating Engineers, during
any one calendar day, are working overtime on the same unit of a project
on which another craft is working overtime at the double time rate,
then the Operating Engineers on such unit of work shall also be paid at
the double time rate.
TEAMSTERS - Time and one-half except Sundays and Holidays, ahieh are
double time.
F� - All foremen not herein separately classified shall be paid
not less than 25 cents per hour more than the hour4 rate of the

highest classification over which he has supervision.
APPRENTICES - May be employed in conformity with Section 1777.5 of
the California Labor Code.
The rates per hour indicated above are based upon the
local prevailing rates per day being eight times the above sche-
duled rate per hour. Hourly rates of pay, based upon eight hours
per day for a full day or a fractional part of a day. The per
diem wages for a fractional part of a day shall be the applicable
rate per hour multiplied by the number of hours worked on said day
other than for overtime and/or Sundays or Legal Holidays.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City
of Huntington Beach, California at a regular meeting thereof held
on the 20th day of June 1960.
