HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 1426 RESOLUTION No, 1426 A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH TO VACATE A PORTION OF AN ALLEY IN SAID CITY, AND GIVING NOTICE OF A HEARING ON SAID PROPOSED VACATION WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach has been presented with a request to abandon a portion of an alley in said city, as hereinafter described; and WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Huntington � Y Y � desires to vacate the said portion of alley, NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Hunting- ton beach, California, does resolve, determine and declare aw follows: Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Hunt- ington Beach does hereby declare its intention to vacate a portion of that certain alley running through a portion of Tract No. 1+1+5, in the City of Huntington Beach which said portion of alley is described as follows: "Beginning at the Northwest corner of Lot 57 as shown on the map of Tract No. 445 recorded in book 1 , page 7 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, Calif- ornia; said point being also the true point of beginning; thence Westerly along the Westerly prolongation of the North line of said lot 57, 15 feet to the Northeast cor- ner of lot 1+9, of said Tract No. LP+5; thence Southerly along the Easterly line of lots 1+9 through 56 inclusive, 220 feet more or less to the Southeast corner of lot 56; thence Easterly along the easterly prolongation of the South line of said lot 56, 15 feet to the Southwest cor- ner of lot 77; thence Northerly along the Westerly line of lot 77 and lot 57, 220 feet more or less to the true point of beginning." 1. Res. No. 1426 For further particulars reference is hereby made to a map on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City, Section 2. That notice is hereby given that the 1 day of August , 1960, at the hour of S''CC o'clock P.M. or as soon .t ereafter as nos s ibl a in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, Huntington Beach, California, is the time and place when and where a public hearing shall be held upon this resolution of intention to vacate said above described portion of alley, at which hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the pro- posed vacation may be heard. Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and di- rected to cause a copy of this Resolution of Intention to be published in the Huntington Beach News, a newspaper of gen- eral circulation, printed and published in the City of Hunt- ington Beach for at least two successive weeks prior to the hearing. Section The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby elect to proceed under the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 194-1 in the vacation of a portion of the alley above described. Section 5, The Street Superintendent is hereby author- ized and directed to post notices of street vacation as re- quired by law. 2. Res.
