AN ORDER OF THE CITY COUNCIL VACATING
A PORTION CF CALIFORNIA AVENUE IN THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach, California, did by unanimous vote on the 6th day of
February, 1961, at a regular meeting of said body, regular-
ly and duly adopt Resolution No, 1458, entitled "A resolution
of Intention of the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach to Vacate a portion of California Avenue in said City,
and Giving Notice of a Hearing on said Vacation"; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach did elect to proceed under the provisions of the Street
Vacation Act of 1941; and
WHr-,IREAS, the portion of the street to be vacated lies
within the City of Huntington Beach and is not a portion of a
state highway; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk of the City cf Huntington
Beach did cause a copy of said resolution of intention .to be
published in the Huntington Beach News, a newspaper of general
circulation printed and published in the City of Huntington
Beach, by one insertion on the 9th day of February, 1961; and
WHEREAS, said resolution contained a notice that
the 6th day of March, 1961, at the hour of 8:00 otclock P.M.

in the Council Chamber in the City Hall, Huntington Beach,
was the time and place when and where a public hearing was
to be held upon said resolution of intention, at which hearing
all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vaca-
tion may be heard; and
WHEREAS, notice of street vacation was posted as required
by law; and
WHEREAS, there were no protests or persons appearing
against said proposed street vacation at said hearing; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach
finds and determines from all the evidence submitted that the
portion of California Avenue described in said Resolution No,
1458 is unnecessary for present or prospective public street
purposes:
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach hereby resolves as follows:
Section 1: That it is ordered that that portion of
California Avenue in the City of Huntington Beach, described
as:
"That portion of California Avenue and Baltimore
Street, as shown on a map of Vista Del Mar Tract'
Huntington Beach Section Two, recorded in Book 47
at page 5 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of said
Orange County, described as follows:

"Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot One, Block
203 of said Vista Del Mar Tract, said point also being
at the intersection of the Westerly right of way of
California Avenue with the Northerly right of way line
of Baltimore Street; thence North 0 43t 0011 West
along said Westerly right of way line 250.19 feet to
a point, said point being distant 20.00 feet, measured
at right angles, from the Southerly right of way line
of Chicago Street, 60.00 feet wide, as shown on said
map of Vista Del Mar Tract; thence North 890 171 45"
East, parallel with said Southerly right of way line
of Chicago Street, 60.00 feet to a point in the East—
erly right of way line of said California Avenue;
thence South 00 431 000 East along said Easterly
right of way line 250.21 feet to a point, said point
being on the Easterly prolongation of the Northerly
right of 0 way line of said Baltimore Street; thence
South 89 181 50" West along the Easterly prolonga—
tion of said Northerly right of way line 60,00 feet
to the point of beginning",
be and the same is hereby vacated for public street purposes*
Section 2: That the City Clerk is hereby authorized
and directed to cause a certified copy of this Order, attest—
ed by the Clerk under the seal of this city, together with a
certified copy of Resolution No. 11+58 to be recorded in the
office of the County Recorder of Orange County, California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Huntington Beach, California, this 6th - day of
March 1961.
