A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF HUNT-LGTON BEACH
ESTABLISHING THE GENERAL PREVAILING HOURLY
'IJAGES FOR EACH CRAFT OR TYPE OF WOMAN OR
MECHANIC NEEDED FOR THE CONSTRUCTION AND
INSTALLATION OF SANITARY STYVERS IN GARFIELD
AVENUE FROIA BEACH BOULEVARD TO 310 FEET EAST
OF GREGORY LAIv'E, AIM IN YORKTO N AVENUE FROM
BEACH BOULEVARD TO 730 FEET EASTERLY, IN THE
CITY OF HUNTI''NGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach
has conducted a hearing for the purpose of establishing sanitary sewers
on Garfield Avenue from Beach Boulevard to 310 feet east of Gregory Lane,
and in Yorktown Avenue from Beach Boulevard to 730 feet easterly, in the
City of Huntington Beach, and has considered evidence presented.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of
the City of Huntington Beach does hereby find, establish and determine
that the general prevailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for
workmen needed in the construction and installation of sanitary sewers
on Garfield Avenue from Beach Boulevard to 310 feet east of Gregory Lane,
and in Yorktown Avenue from Beach Boulevard to 730 feet easterly, within
the City of Huntington Beach and the general prevailing rate of legal
holiday and overtime work, is as follows:

"The rate of compensation for any classification not listed
in the schedule, but which may be required to execute the proposed
contract, shall be commensurate and in accord with the rates specified
for similar or comparable duties in the Southern California Master
Labor Agreements."
OVER.TDM RATES
LABORERS Time and one-half, except Sundays and Holidays, which
are double time.
OPERATING ENGINEERS - Time and one-half for all overtime, except
Sundays and Holidays, which are double time. Where Operating Engineers,
during any one calendar day, are working overtime on the same unit of
a project on which another craft is working overtime at the double time
rate, then the Operating Engineers on such unit of work shall also be
paid at the double time rate.
TEAMSTERS - Time and one-half except Sundays and Holidays, which are
double time.
The rates per hour indicated above are based upon the local
prevailing rates per day being eight times the above scheduled rate
per hour. Hourly rates of pay, based upon eight hours per day for a
full day or a fractional part of a day. The per diem gages for a
fractional part of a day shall be the applicable rate per hour
multiplied by the number of hours worked on said say other than for
overtime and/or Sundays or Legal Holidays.

Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach, California at a regular meeting thereof held on
the 7 th day of August 1961.
