A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH
ESTABLISHING THE GENERAL PREVAILING HOURLY
WAGES FOR THE PARTIAL CONSTRUCTION OF TWO
BEACHFRONT TOILET BUILDINGS IN THE CITY OF
HUNTINGTOON BEACH, CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach
has determined that there is a need for establishing two beachfront toilet
buildings in the City of Huntington Beach, and has considered evidence
presented.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of
the City of Huntington Beach does hereby find, establish and determine
that the general prevailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for
workmen needed in the partial construction of two beachfront toilet
buildings, within the City of Huntington Beach, as as follows:

"The rate of compensation for any classification not listed
in the schedule, but which may be required to execute the proposed
contract, shall be commensurate and in accord with the rates specified
for similar or comparable duties in the Southern California Master
Labor Agreement."
OVERTIME RATES
LABORERS - Time and one-half, except Sundays and Holidays, which are
double time.
CEMENT MASONS - Time and one-half for the first three hours after the
regularly constituted straight-time shift, and all other overtime shall
be double time.
ENGINEERS - Time and one-half for all overtime, except Sundays and
Holidays, which are double time.
TEAMSTERS - Time and one-half, except Sundays and Holidays, which are
double time.
The rates per hour indicated above are based upon the local
prevailing rates per day being eight times the above scheduled rate
per hour. Hourly rates of pay, based upon eight hours per day for a
full day or a fractional part of a day. The per diem wages for a

fractional part of a day shall be the applicable rate per hour
multiplied by the number of hours worked on said day other than for
overtime and/or Sundays or Legal Holidays.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach, California at a regular meeting thereof held on
the 2nd 4ay of January 1962.
